Best of 2018 Goody Bag (Cultbeauty) worst the hype?

Hi lovelies,

Today post is about The Cultbeauty Goody Bag: Best of 2018. cultybeauty is a British site, where I love to order: they are quick, reliable and they do give discounts for frequent buyers and they do sell cult products, which I can not purchase from elsewhere in Hungary. They usually have 3 Goody Bag per year and at the end of the year is called “Best of”, which is probably their most want. All right when I have read their newsletter about worst of 300 GBP for 20 products (7 full size), firstly I was oh wow I need it now, that a really good deal. Here is my thought whether it would worst for me or not?

Firstly, you have to know that you have to order for 175 GBP on site, which is relatively a lot of money for one time spend it on make-up and skin care. Of course I could easily send it on cultbeauty according to my huge wish list. Do not be forgotten that now other discount code can apply for the cart, which means that 15% off not applies, so on 175 GBP I will miss ca. 26,25 GBP, so that is the cost of the Goody bag.

181019_goodybag_landingpage_november18-e77tvNow it is time to see the products, examine the offers and categorizes them:

  • Products which I  DO NOT NEED OR NOT INTERESTED:
    1. Huda Beauty- Samantha Lashes: 15,50 GBP- I am not a fake lash fan and I do have 2 pairs at home(since my wedding), which I do not know whenever I will wear. I really want to try Huda’s products, but it is not the one, which I am dyeing for…
    2. Le Labo- Santal 33 (1ml): probably a nice brand, but come on 1ml??? are you serious? You do get these type of free gifts at Douglas or Sephora by every purchase.
    3. Morphe– M433: 7 GBP standard blending brush for a low price tag…
    4. Cultybeauty-  Embrossed Cult Beauty Half Moon Bag: it is look nice, but I do have tons of vanity bags, so really do not need one more.
    5. GOOP– GoopGlow (5 Sachets): 11 GBP a really expensive food supplement… do not believe 5 days are enough to see any reaction.
    6. Shiseido- Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (10ml) value ca. 27 GBP (according to price tag of 30/50/75 ml): non cruelty free, INCI with alcohol Denat (nr. 2.) and perfume which I would not apply to my face at all and extremely high price serum.
  • So the lost of the 300 GBP value: 60,50 GBP

  • Products I AM INTERESTED BUT CAN LIVE WITHOUT
    • DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE– Hyaluronic Marine Dew It All Eye Gel (5ml):  I have never heard of this product- but would be interesting according to its INCI and the reviews: loves or hates only. Value ca. 20 GBP

    • JOUER COSMETICS– Long-Wear Lip Topper5.9ml ): 13,50 GBP- it is a lip topper what ever it means, might be a gloss, which is non-sticky and I do not know whether it is only works with their Lip Créme or other lipsticks as well. It is interesting with nice colors and so good reviews, but I would not pay for it.

    • LAURA MERCIERTranslucent Loose Setting Powder(3,5g) it is a mini version and I do not know which color they would send. LM is not CF, so most probably I would not use it, nor spending my money on, but it is so cult… I do not know. Value: 3,5 GBP

    • Farsali- Jelly Beam (15ml): 34 GBP gel highlighter which looks nice, but I am not sure if I would use it as I still have an unboxed Zoeva Strobe Gel… as a gift hmm… why not their Unicorn serum?
    • BECCA- Under Eye Brightening Corrector: 21 GBP- again must not be a bad product, but not the one I am dyeing for, specially the cream in a jar formula, but would be a nice gift anyway.
    • Omorovicza– Moor Cream Cleanser: 52 GBP again a product, which I would love to try, but I do not think it is worst its price, even it is Hungarian…
    • Coco&Eve– Super Nourishing Coconut&Fig Hairmask (4,5g): this is a really overpriced product in full size, but I have seen it a way too many times on Instagram so would say yes to try for “free”. Value ca.: 3,5 GBP
    • Lime Crime– Matte Velvetines “Cashmere”: 18 GBP I am not really into liquid lipstick, but to be honest once I have nearly ordered this particular product from Lime Crime, but then I have chosen my NYX one which is a dupe of this, so I would not buy but love to try it.
  • Lost of the 300 GBP value: 165,50 GBP

  • Products which I WANT TO TRY (on my wishlist)
    1. LIXIRSKIN- Vitamin C Paste ( 50ml ) 32 GBP this cream, which I would love to try and buy anyway.
    2. Drunk Elephant– T.L.C. Framboos (5ml): it is one of my most wanted night serum only thinking about it due to its extreme high price… Value is ca. 13 GBP
    3. Alpha-H – Liquid Gold (50ml): it is the half, but still decent size and who would not try a serum with gold and these only 5 star reviews. Value is ca. 17 GBP
    4. Sunday Riley: Luna(5 ml): other expensive night serum, but this is with retinol… value ca. 25 GBP
    5. Anastasia Beverly Hills– Mini liquid Lipstick in ‘Crush’- omg this shade… makes me to forget it is liquid… value is 20 GBP if it is the full version…
  • Value: 107 GBP and 175,52 GBP would be the amount of the purchase which I should pay (incl. 3 full products instead of 3 small ones),which is the same amount as I have to spend so it is would worst for me. + 15 GBP for the next offer

So will I make an order? to be honest, until 5 minutes ago and after the counting I was in the mood (again) WOW let’s make an order, that’s a really good deal, but then I was thinking: do I want to send 175 GBP now? In the middle of our flat renovation? Would I brake my financial rules? Would go against of my thinking of overconsumption? Would I give away all the unnecessary cosmetics as a Christmas gift? Do I need all of these right away? NO! and furthermore Black Friday and Coupon days are coming…

Xoxo,

Empties and clearing out

Hi everyone!

So Glamour days are just on the corner, as I do not want to over purchase I love to have a look what I have in my wardrobe, makeup kit or in beauty. And of course throw away the empties, old makeups and creams, sell or give away to a charity (clothes).

Shopping on sales

Glamour days is a shopping weekend in Hungary, organized by Glamour magazine, where you can buy a lots of stuffs with discounting coupon, of course there is a lot of shopping malls do have some coupons of 20%, but at drugstore you usually have 50% sales on items with the magazines, and there are some products , which I only buy on these days in every half-year. I think this time I should figure out a budget to avoid impulse shopping.

Here is my clear out:

MAKE-UP I HATE

  • Maybelline: Master Strobing Liquid– honestly I do not like this product, even I used only a tiny bit, I am going to sell it
  • Bobbi Brown: Instant Full Cover Concealer- this is an expensive product, which I have used only 3-4 times, but I can not stand it under my eyes, too thick and the color which the artist gave me (SAND) really does not match. Try to sell

Make-up empties:

  • Bobbi Brown: BB Cream (Fair) loved it so much now I will replace my other fav BB: Clinique age defense BB in shade 2
  • Clarins: Eclat minute (07) I have already repurchased
  • Laura Mercier Foundation Primer-Oil Free: really love that primer, that works perfectly with Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I do not know where to repurchase it-so what shall I buy instead?
  • MAC: Prep-Prime Translucent Powder:really nice white powder, but nearly empty might will purchase an other brand’s translucent powder.

Skin care empties:

  • The Body Shop: Vitamine E sorbet: really love that lightweight cream, I think I will repurchase it. This is my go to daily cream, make up is so well to apply on it
  • The Body Shop: Tea Tree Night Mask: Tati hates it,  do love it, the skin feels so smooth and clean after the night, I tend to use only a little bit of it for my blemishes
  • L’Oreal: Pure Clay: Glow Mask: it is not a bad clay mask, but I think I will look for something else, which is a bit more deep cleaner clay mask.
  • Yves Rocher: Serum Végétale (I think it was) Eye cream it is a big no…

Oldies:

  • Clinique: Stay matt powder: I loved that powder, but I use it for 3-4 years and it is nearly empty, so I think I have to replace it- might will be an other one just I have to make a search on it.
  • Essence: All about Matt!: is a really good fixing powder from the drugstore, lasts ca. 3-4 hours,so I do not really like that I have to powder my T zone again and again during the day. I understand the hype it is probably the best in value and price but I tend to send more for a better one. I do not like its packing….
  • Beyu: Brow Powder: honestly I really love that powder, so much products, but I have it for 4 or 5 years so too old to use, unfortunately I have not seen this brand anymore at Douglas (it was ca. 17-18 SD).
  • L’Oréal: Color Infaillible: Pressed pigments in Sahara shade, probably the best and long lasting pigment in golden shade, it has a lot of product and after a 8-9 years of use I stll have the third of it. L’Oréal why discontinue this?
  • Bobbi Brown: Pot Rouge: Pale Pink is my go to cream blush, it is nearly empty, I have purchased like 2 years ago, but the product itself is 7 years old according to this production code… I think I have to repurchase it.
  • Too Faced: Better Than Sex– Waterproof travel size just forgotten of the photo of empties… also a really cool mascara which I love- same goes to MAC powder.
  • L’Oréal: Color Riche– J.Lo’s Nude is empty I loved it, but I have MAC Angel now, which is really similar to that.

CLOTHES

I always  clear out my wardrobe at season changing, but this year March was a way too chilly so… I will not describe what I will thought away items by items.

  • Oldies, which I have not used for a year
  • Never used/Used once
  • Occasion dresses
  • Torn, starched or items which need to repair

SHOPPING

This year I want to be more planned, so I have just cut the coupons, figured out my budget to avoid impulse shopping, checked the brand websites according to my Spring wardrobe wishes  and I might will shopping more online.

Stay turned for my haul!

xoxo,

My Sephora wishlist

Hi everyone!

People says that the best way to save your money from Sephora is to live in a country without Sephora. Well, it somehow it is true, but in the other hand I am always going to Sephora when I am abroad with my saved money (or asking some friends) and spend it. Like last time:

To tell the truth, here in Hungary we do have a lot of other possibilities to buy skin care and makeup products at parfumeries like Marrionnaud, Mueller or Douglas, pharmarcy, drogerie or Brand stores like Mac, Bobbi Brown or Estee Lauder.

Skincare is not so interesting at Sephora for me as we have Glamglow, Clinique or Khiehl’s here, so I gonna focus on make up wishes.

My fav beauty product of 2017

At the end of the year, let me introduce my favourite new product. Litelly, they are new launch in Hungary or first time bought abroad.

Haircare:

Yves Rocher: Pureté

Eventhought my hair is not so oily, but it makes that so lightweight and calm Down my scalp. No parabens and silicone is a plus.

The Body Shop: Wild Argan Oil Miracle Solid Oil

Really love this compact packaging, this is enough for ages and even you can use it for body as well. It is just knocked L’Oreál elséve oil for me.

Facecare:

L’Oreál Paris:Pure Clay Glow Mask

Brightens and exfoliates well and Finally on the high street…

The Body Shop:Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask

I do not use all the range of Tea Tree, only this as day time I rather moisturing my skin, but cleans my mixed Skin from the blemishes during the Night so well.

Skinfood: Egg White Pore Form

Just gentil remove the make up and clean the face with Korean beauty cult.

Makeup:

Laura Mercier: Foundation Primer (oily free)

Best and most outstanding primer I have even tried. Really lightweight and perfect under Estee Lauder Double wear. This was my first product from the Brand, but want to try some of the other as well.

Maybelline: Instant Age Rewind

I own the shade Light, I would not say this is my best concealer ever, but it is the best from drugstore and the packaging is ideal for travelling. Finally they lauched in October or September in Hungary.

The Balm: Mary-Lou Manizer

Also this year lauched here, this cult product. Beautiful light golden highlighter is just the Perfect luminizer.

Nars: Orgasm blush

Finally I got this beautiful and iconic simmery powder blush, normally I prefer matte but this is just … no words.

Estée Lauder: Pure Color Love- Rose Xcess(120)

So luxurious package with a really pretty autumn/Winter color. It is a Sheer Matte lipstick, so not dries down the lips. Orginally I was looking for 230 color, but then I changed my mind. Shape was a bit weird for the very first time, but easier to Apply.

Too Faced: Melted Matte- Lady Balls

Till we did not meet I hated liquid lipsticks, but this is much more better than all the other I have ever tried. Dries quickly and stay in place for a long time. Might need to buy some other colors as well. Lip primer is a need underneath.

Nyx: Lingerie- Embellishment

Deep nude (mauve purple) color, but I hate the rest of the colors of the range, might be this is something else in the ingredients…

Real Techniques: setting brush

Tiny powder brush, which is really cheap, eventhought it is synthetic it is works well with powder. So multifuncional bit dou fibre brush. What I use for: powder under the eyes, blending the edges or hightlighter.

Stay turned for my negative list 🙂
