A low buy year Chirstmas Haul

Hi lovelies,

With our Christmas, all the presents reflect to my low buy year, I have created a wish list, which was allowed to my family to do not buy any crap, of course me or we have still received some suprise. Of course I am always happy with some honey, good wines or chocolate (mostly sugar free as I have IR).

I am going to list them below- they were all on my wishlist- High Quality Items, however Farrow Bag have not arrived yet (since 8th December)…

We have also received a sett of bed clothes from IKEA and an iPad together with my husband. Of course some traditional Hungarian Christmas chocolates, some souvenirs from UK and Amsterdam, honey and a bottle of wine.

Probably the most creative was my brother, who have written his own cookbook with all of his favourite recipies (I also wanted to gift him one, where he can collect them from Zara Home, but it was sold out).

You, might think omg, these are just items, but I have to be honest we do not buy as soon as we want them, so I am quite happy with these items- were on my wishlist for a while- , futhermore I have to update my wishlist here too.

Girl, you can give experiences too, well yes, but I think it is more persolized and so much more depends on the current pandemic- we still have 2 vouchers which we have received before and never used… probably will never use, just was a waist of money.

Creating my ultimate wardrobe: Accessories

Hi lovelies,

This is the third post in the series: after lingerie and very basics, please welcome accessories. They are small but impressive part of every wardobe: they can change your whole appearance instantly.

My aim is not to share a lot of luxury items, I rather stay realistic to be able to follow and some of the items still exist in my closet, others are on my wishlist.

Please note what is affordable to me, might not to everyone, I want to educate and do not want to judge you.

Tote bag: can be a leather or faux leather, but if you take my advice try this Longchamp Le Pliage bag- I have it for a few years and it was worst every penny: huge but you can store it floded, even can use it as an extra bag.

Mid-Sized Black Bag: I do suggest to have a work bag- I am budgeting for this Polene one as it is seamlike the perfect for me: mid-size, leather and crossbody…

Bucket bag: I used to own a green one, every I loved its size, I cannot made a great use out of it as the color was not the best to use in my everyday life, so after the Polene one, this is the next.

Black evening bag: I have one from a local designer, but that is the one if you have the budget you can go for more high-end like a classic Chanel flap.

Light summer bag: when you wear lighter colors it is a great otpion to go for a lighter mid or small size bag- mine is also from an other local designer.

Backpack: more sport days it is ideal to have a one, even you can charge it with your loved ones. Kankens are so great , 16 l size backpacks for leisure or city walks too.

Belts: it is a great idea to have a two colored classics belt, like this Kazar one, but my eyes on this Isabel Marant waist belt for a while to wear it with dresses, coats ect.

Leather gloves: also a must have during winter- classy, elegant and keep you warm- try to find a great local option. Best if the color is match with your winter coat or you can not go wrong with a classic black.

Scarf: Twilly is great as a hair, bag accessorie or using it traditionaly arround your neck, a nice silk one elevates your style. Silk scarf for the transitional seasons with demin or lether jacket or with a trench coat, while a thicker wool or cashmere is so great for the winter.

Hats: I thikif you have these 4 you have everything for the whole year.

Sunglasses: find just one perfect for you- I do not think I have to expalin why.

Creating my ultimate wardobe: The very basics

Hi lovelies,

This is a newest update on my “Creating my ultimate wardrobe” series. Lastly you were able to read my underwear issue, now lets move one and get into the closet.

Maybe it is the most boring story, so many people write about what are the basic of the basics, the ultimate foundation of their wardrobe, which they can wear all year arround.

Maybe it is the most boring story, so many people write about what are the basic of the basics, the ultimate foundation of their wardrobe, which they can wear all year arround. These are money worsty investment items.

I wanted to be more honest and specific: I do not include any seasonal items like a roll neck top or demin short, neither accessories- these are very personal of course the later on I will share a key piecs list – nor outwears – these are ready climate dependent items, really depends on were you live in the Earth.

My favourites will be shared in the links- not affiliate

Sleeveless tops: summer they can be a top, in the other seasons a layer. I do prefer black and white silk camisoles and nude cotton body.

Tees: can be plain or with any graphic on it, but I think you can make out the most from the plain ones: Black V-neck and white crew neck.

Long sleeve: can be worn as a pulover during summer nights or a layer under a pulover in the winter months. I do love that breton.

Shirts: you need a white botton-up from cotton and an other one from silk.

Black blazer: a great wool one is timeless, it can be smart, outwear or casual and long the lastest.

Jeans: you need at least two: light and a dark– cut it does not matter, find the one which best suits you. Skinny jeans are not in the fashion anymore, however I do suggest to keep one to be able to wear them with boots… remember how hard it was to tack in bootcuts and wide-legs in the past.

Black smart trousers: there are days when we do not want to wear jeans or just simply need to wear something more elegant.

Cotton leggings: opposite of the smart trousers, but once you arrive home or going for a walk with your dog etc. you need some comfy trousers, which is not a loungewear.

Black skirt: even if you hate or never wear skirts, try a black one – it is femine, elegant and smart.

Black dress: a stample truly- try to find the one which is good for any occassions or to the office– of course you can expand the collection with different versions for other weather conditions too.

Please note I have linked some high end and affordable options (what is affordable for me, might not for you). Serie is to be continued soon and I also have a lot to work on my basics…

Low buy update 2021-1

Hi lovelies,

This is my first low buy update of the year, yeah I have promised to only writtig a haul once as last year I have learnt a lot how to manage my things effectively. This first half year was really hard for me, might be later on I am going to talk about my health issues, but I am not so ready to tell our full story since March so stay turned and comment if you do wanna hear.

I have started my year to focus on my health: I did 12-weeks Robert Heatherson’s workout program and also her monthly calendar, now I hve started her 6-weeks low impact, to get back a bit of shape after all this sh*t I went through. Generally, I do eat healthy for a while, I did started taking supplements too.

Makeup:

Finally I have finished up my travel sized Hourglass Ambient Bronzer and my Cover FX setting powder. I have decluttered my last MAC lipsticks, expired and old pallettes, mascara. I made two purchases form Cultbeauty, which you can see below. I have repurchased my beloved items: glow tonic, Better Than Sex Mascara and later on The Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray by Charlotte Tilbury (due to the size and it is not glass package I prefer the travel size). From the drugstore I have bought some Catrice products: brown and black eye pencil, waterproof eyeliner and Trend-it-up brown mascara.

Clothes and Shoes:

As I have started my closet inventory I have really find out that I do have a lot of clothes, which I just simply do not like and want to upgrade them. I imagined, wrote and decluttered I am going to share soon.
– Nr. 1.: Espadrillas from Lasocki, in light grey(EUR 38): it was a long time to find the perfect plat one, which is leather inside….

– Nr. 2: Slouchy white trousers from Mango (EUR 36): for a while I was looking for white jeans, but I have realized that I am the kind of girl, who always love white jeans on other, but when it is comes to try on I usually hate it on myself, so I have realized I hate skinny white trousers, so I need a bit looser fit…
– Nr. 3: Leopard print midi skirt from Sissy Boy(S)- Vestiare: this is an other I am not sure of it, then I realize I rather go for something similar to the leopard print (once I had a balerina which was so cool): beige- navy skirt:

-Nr. 4: Black Wool trouser suit from Barbara Bui (EUR 36)- Vestiare: so ligh weight basic, I took it to the tailor so will show it later on too.

-Nr. 5: Gabinette dress from Rouje(EUR 36): I was hunting for their red Gabin or Gabinette dress for a while, then I purchased it for the site, as it is even more expensive secondhand, which is crazy. But I can understand the hype of it: I love love love, wanna wear it everyday: great cut, best viscose dress I have ever had.

-Nr. 6: Sezane Barry jumper in Bottle Green (EUR 36) from Facebook Market place. I really wanted it so I was so lucky to find it, similar to Gaspard softness.

Anything else:

Anuschka Rees The curated closet book and workbook- it is a useful book to figure out your style and to create a better wardrobe, which I am going to do soon.

Skillshare: it is a so good platform to learn:).

I hope you have enjoyed. Stay turned!

How to be stylish while riding a bike AW20/21

Hi lovelies,

This is going to be a special style post of AW 20-21. I know most of you stay at home, but some of you need to go to work every day and the best and most conscious way to go to work in a city: take a ride on your bike.

Photo by Bear Gingerbliss on Pexels.com

I often receive the excuse it is 10 degree(50F), it is too cold, it is raining or asking how you can be cycling in these shoes or skirt? Believe me, only snowing and frosting when you cannot use a regular bike (yeah there are certain which you can), just your bicycle is equipment well or your clothes are inappropriate.

Step 1– bike: beside the general lights and prism, which you always have on, right? You will need a raincoat, helmet and might be a chain guard. Of course be slower as the breaks stopping distance is longer. Use a trench coat, a leather coat or a warmer coat to be stylish, but always keep a raincoat with you. The raincoat should be longer to cover your clothes and bags, but in a small package to be carriable.

Step 2– bags: you do not need to be sporty if you work in an office: use leather cross bodies or bag packs, but if you have a storage basket on your bike just any bags work.

Step 3– shoes: mainly I would say it should be flat, occasionally can be high heels, but any stabile heeled boots can work. I would suggest Chelsea or riding boots or an oxford, ballerina, loafer flats or a great sneaker.

Step 4- clothes: it should be warm enough, but not as warm to perspire.

  • trousers and jeans: skinny, slim or mom jeans are fine, but palazzo and flare style will only work if you take the ends into your shoe or socks, which can be unflattering
  • Skirts and dresses: the most comfortable are the A-line miniskirts, but any mini will work, just cover it with a longer coat. For midis stay to A-line ones, over the knee pencil skirts are not working at all.
  • Upper you can wear just whatever you would, but turtle necks are the greatest.
  • Accessories: scarves are really stylish, but you can leave your mask on with your turtle neck too. If you need to ride early or late you will need a pair of gloves and might be a cashmere headband under your helmet.

So ladies protect yourself from the masses and ride your bike stylishly.

xoxo,

Low buy haul July

Hi lovelies,

Actually I was so bad in July and this is not a really low buy haul, but I am in the kinda mood, that I was needed some items and I had a name day so far so …

Pandora Rose- Pavé Bead Hoop Earrings (288294CZ): I was eying for this hoops for a while and in July they had a 20% off so I could ot miss out. It is a small silver hoop with thin rose gold layer and some stones.

Some cruelty free skincare

By the time of the earring I have CF and Vegan cream haul too (that was not a gift). N.A.E. is a new drugstore brand here, which I have already tried their micellar water and packless sampoo, those I am enjoying so much, so I have decided to give a try as I have to replace a few of my empties. I have tried out the body balm, which is so lightly sented and water, but rich so it is the ideal during summer. The shower bar and the face cream I have not tried yet… as well as neither the eye cream as I still have one openned.

H&M:

I have made a bigger H&M order also with 20% off. You might wonder how I wish to improve my closet if I order fast fashion. Honestly, I am not in the position of buying more expensive items now, but I do care about quality like most of the items are linen, yeah I am absessed with linen recently, so I picked 2 linen blend white dresses: a shirt dress and an easy casual dress. If you remember I have recently thrifted a linken culottes, to my sister was so obssesd with in and the truth is that it fits her more, so I have gifted it, but I had replace it with a premium quality linken Navy jogger. During the declutter I have realized that I do have a lot of one-time or holiday dress, which is really not me, so I have decluttered over 10 items… so also this slightly longer short. The accessories is just those which you do not need to invest in.

Beside my earring I have received some plants for our urban jungle:) Well the persil not, but it is damn beautiful on our balcony.

And finally we had the chance to visit my family and hubby’s mom by the lake of Balaton. Of course we had to bad weather, but it was great for walking, hiking, eating out and tasting some wines. So I had to wait to get sunburnt by the last days of July here in Budapest…

April low buy haul

Hi lovelies,

This is the end of an other month, a month when we were mostly locked down so we sent our money on a totally different way: more food and vitamins as we were at home a lot and had time to cook, also due to the Covid19 I had to focus on saving more money for the upcoming 3 months as my salary will be like 50% lower, which is pretty hard to every hospitality worker, but at least I have a job. Firstly I was pretty stressed out of the situation, but now I just let it go by settling a daily routine for myself and investing into my self by studying languages, hotel training (kind of boring so-so), sustainable fashion and business course.

So I was pretty much on the track, only sent 36% of my income on needs instead of the 50%, put 27% on saving account, but I can take even more on that, only send 9,9% on wants:).

Concerning to my wants I was sent some money on my husband’s Nicorette patches, because finally he started to quit smoking:), that is one thing that I am more than happy to support him. We have bought a couple of outdoor plants to the balconies- even more becoming a plant parent…

Skincare: new N.A.E. bio micellar water, I will see how is it work as I have not tired yet…

Makeup: I used to had this is black, now I was repurchased it in brown: the cheap favourite Trend it up No. 1 mascara

As I sent more time at home I realized I need a better mat than polifoam, so I was invest in a Manduka Yoga Mat, which due to arrive next till Tuesday.

So I was pretty much on a low buy side, of course I was looking for some sales or coupons online, but they was not on time at all (strictly according to my wishlist) and I wanted to buy a Sezane Gaspard cardigan secondhand and I constantly wrote to several people on Facebook Market place or Depop and noone answers???! that is crazy. I might need to try on Vestiare Collective, but sometimes people want to sell it for on an even higher than its new retail price, which is also crazy. I need to look for so more whites too.

Xoxo,

Wishlist update

Hi lovelies,

My last wishlist was right before Christmas, so I do think it is time to update. It is also great for me to focus on items, which I really want instead of impulse purchases, but it is also ideal for my family and friends to keep it in eyes. I do not say that these things I want them right away but I would accept them anytime.

I was check my last one, I have just realized it was a pretty great one, so firstly those which I am keeping from it:

Lisa Eldridge’s Velvet Ribbon lipstick,

Levi’s 501 in grey wash

The 2 Furla bags: Mimi and Diva (lots of the colors are so great)-good crossbody mid-size leather bag, which I am looking for so far, but maybe it it going to be a camera style bag….

I was also checked my Luxury Christmas gift ideas and I just realized that all of these items are so great I would love to have them and some of them I want to find second hand or something similar…

Also maybe on second hand, alongside with a silk blouse:

and maybe save up for a YSL Cardholder (190 EUR on Net-a-porter)

5

Then the news:

Everlane Alpaca Crew or Alpaca Cardigan: I just truly believe these would be super soft.

Undersea Bikini: local brand, which has an eco and susbainable certificate, this year I am looking forward to their new collection

Maybe some trend pieces, which are missing from my wardrobe:

Organza blouse and Print dress which are trending now.

I have already mentioned my makeup wishlist in my inventory post

Hair and skin care:

I just tend to continue my more natural way so I would love to try a bamboo toothbrush, natural soap and some naked hair conditioner. + face spray

January Low Buy Haul

Hi lovelies,

I hope you are well, one month has been passed from 2020 and  I am proudly presenting my first low buy update.

Budgeting:

Thankfully my overall salary was more than I was written as a minimal monthly salary, so I have saved 22,17% of it.

The needs (50% of salary) category I was rethought and here is what I put into it:

  • Utilities: Gas, Water, Electricity, Common cost, internet, bank and mobile.
  • Raw materials of food: these are everything which I have purchased at grocery stores to eat and cook from.
  • Food that I have spent in our work buffet (the prices are pretty low, sometimes even lower than making for home sandwich)
  • Public transportation monthly pass: I live in a big city so I need to have it during the winter, as it is too cold for cycling, but any taxi, excursion or car sharing goes to my wants category.
  • I have not purchased any house cleaning, neither basic hygiene products this month.

So it took my 32% of the salary.

Wants is the most requested area, so these are my monthly rules for the year:

  1. One fresh beauty products per month! Try to pan!
  2. One in and one out skin care, body and haircare products.
  3. One new addition to my closet per month: including clothes + maximum 6  shoes and accessories!
  4. Magazines and books: books I must not buy until of 6 will be read from my bookshelf, while magazines I will strict to one per month.
  5. Gift cards and gifts are exceptions- finally I will have a wishlist for my birthday and nameday.
  6. Only one treatment is allowed per month: beauty salon, massage, hairdresser etc.
  7. Keep a no buy day per week.
  8. Do decluttering per seasons.

My fresh beauty products of the month- AKA my haul of January, 2020:

Skin care product: FARMACY- Dew It All Eyecream. So technically I was paid and ordered it in December, 2019 but it is just arrived in the middle of January, so I decided to rather take it into this haul. This is a product, which Youtube made me to buying same aspect: Niki Sky(Canadian Luxury Youtuber) ,where she was mentioning that she struggles with dark under eye and she is just a few years older than me, so also has same issue with the first sign of aging. In the other hand I was looking for an eyecream for so long, which is CF, Mineral oil, parabens, fragrance free… So far it looks it is great and works much more well than my previous one…

Makeup: Becca – Under Eye Brightening Corrector. Same issue: my under eye, I used to love that concealer for it and as a eyeshadow base, I was decided to put it to my basket at Cultbeauty during the sales so it is just arrived too. And yeah how I could have forgot it? 12/1

Accessories: Furla Glasses. It is really hard to categorize whether it is a need or a want… I need to have a glass, because I am suffering from near-sightedness and I was choosing with ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect lens as I am working with computers all the time, but of course you can buy much cheaper glasses. OK, I decided to choose by the style, how it is fits instead of the price. And thankfully it was on my employee’s discount and I can give and account to my private health fund, which gives a 20% tax refund. 6/1

Clothes: I did not buy any Yeah… but swap a pulover with 2 dresses 12/0

Magazines: I just bought one, which is two as Elle and Marie Claire was packed together (January- February issue) for the price of one Elle. 12/1

Treatment: face cleansing treatment with Hévíz Mud 12/1

I have decluttered with remixshop 5 clothes of mine and 2 of my husband’s one. Used up some of my make up: The Body Shop: Fresh Nude Tinted Beauty Balm, Mini MAC Chili lipstick, Trend It UP: Lipoil + my eyecream and my face creamIMG_6732

Charity: this month Les Clefs D’Or event was also a charity ball, I have dominated to Australia rescue and also was involved into a campaign like last year about the mestrual poverty.

So the total was spending 31,17 %, which is a bit high however the glasses was only a must in this month.

December haul

Hi lovelies,

Let’s go back to 2019 for a bit I was nearly forgetting my end of the year and it is my last haul of last year, which will be based on my Christmas gifts and some end of the year sales. You might read that I want to change a bit of my speding habits, eventhought it will be a bit more because of the Chritmas, but I was into to investment pieces:

You might remember my Christmas wishlist, so firstly let me tell you what I have received from it:

So that was the wallett, the Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lightening palette and the silk Intimissimi bra and slip. I have also mentioning that I wish to have a brown leather belt and a hair curler, so these are what I have received:

1

And a beautiful Kazar belt:

0D64ABF1-9068-4847-BC69-8652DF97DB98

On the top I have received Smashbox Buildable check brush and a Photo Finish Minimize Pores primer, which are both excellent products but I was always considered to be too expensive to buy for myself.

I also receive a cute calendar, a Mamakin necklance, a book and some chocolates, which I am all happy and greatful with.

Last beauty orders of 2019:

Feelunique: 15% if you click on the link

I have repurchased my holy grail from The Ordinary Hyralonic Acid and the Niaciamide serum. Lumene Micellar water is seem like a great Cruelty free alternative of Bioderma, I hope I will love it. Rose Quartz Roller I was eying for a while and now I was thinking of ordering it in order to improve my skincare routine.

The very last day of the year we went to shopping with my bestie and I was so good, only choosing one products to buy on the sales: Tommy Hilfiger Fran skirt. It is a pricier corduroy A-line skirt in navy blue, but it is BCI certificate. It was also sometihng which I was looking for a while. That is an ideal warm winter skirt for me. That is still reflect to my 2020 plans.

8

Thsi year the Hauls and updates will be on last day of each months.

Xoxo,
