“How many money?”

Hi lovelies,

I hope you had a great Christmas so far and enjoyed my wishlist and hauls in this holiday season. At the end of the year is the time to summary, to account the year and as well as our spendings as well. In the beginning of the year I started an intensive Cruelty Free journey and used up as many products as I could, while during the year I was started to think more sustainable about my spending… Now let’s count my shopping, estimate the spendings and do the “people’s judgement”- in the comment section- try to come along witha conclusion.

Accessories:

Might be the easiest category first- as for myself I onlybought a necklace, a headband, a hair band, rubber and a bobby-pin:

I admit that these things are ones which I can live without, but I love the cashmere headband it is so useful for ear protection and the pins just pop up my look sometimes. The necklace and the rubber was okay for holiday.

All from H&M– 5 pieces- spending: 11 472 HUF (ca. 36 EUR)

Gifts was:

Shoes:

It is so unbelievable I have purchased only one shoe, which was a summer sandal (leather) on sale:

ginorossidn694mtwobgbg2512x_gino_rossi-dn694m-two-bgbg-2512-x_ab_0003

Brand: Gino Rossi– 1 item- spending: 8 850 HUF (ca. 28 EUR)

Clothes

OMG, it is even hard to collect:

I think I had one more Yellow summer dress, which is not on the montage. Eventually I have 2 (leopard shirt and the black flower patern dress, which are not in my wardrobe anymore and the black dotted dress I have not even wore yet, while the brown dotted only one.

Brands: H&M, Zara, Mango, Promod, Oysho, Levi’s, COS– 21 items-  168 642 HUF (ca.527 EUR) ca. 40 EUR spent on useless clothes, which is in a way much, but on the otherhand not that much because it is under my 5% of income, however I am still wants to decease the numbers in the future and buy more quality items next year- at least one from a local designer.

Let’s continue tomorrow with make up and skin care…

May beauty situations

Hi lovelies,

We do have a rainy May, so spending a lot of time indoor and doing a lot of works in the hotel and also from home as the conference season is on.

So I was diagnized with seborrhea at the end of March, I always have dandruff in Winter, but never thought that much, so I got some cream and medicals and went to allergy test, which shown my intolarance od diary products. So I am not drinking or eating them for 6 weeks and I tend to say my skin also looks much better and having lack of seborrhea which is such great. So I try to find the best sampoo possible as the medical sampoos are just occasional use only. The Body Shop Banana shampoo is one of my favourite, but it has too much parfume in it. Nature Box contains a bit less of fagrance, but I am not sure is they are CF, so just has purchased an Inecto Argan Shampoo, which is vegan and cruelty free and has lack of parfum. So just hope that it is going to work.

Now I have to admit that even I am try to be cruelty free I am not vegan and do not want to be vegan even if we have days without meat, sometimes I love to eat meat, specially fishes and also I can not suggest restaurant without having an overview of their cuisine.

My recent empties:

Bobbi Brown Brow pencil and lipstick in Sandwash Pink are not CF, so will not repurchase them, I already have a dupe of the lipstick in a Charlotte Tilbury one. Tarte lifted mascara is a nice brown mascara, it is getting a way too dry and used it up duuring the last 6-7 months, I do not know whether I will repurchase it or not, because it gives a really nice look but nothing extra for the price.  The Ordinary serum foundation is changed into a very bad shape: oil seperated from the other parts, color changed, so I can not use it any more – it is openned for 9 months…

I have took back 6 products to MAC and choose a lipstick in Faux for one of my greatest friend’s birthday.

Reflecting on recent purchases:

My top of top is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick I just love it, it is the perfect lipstick: nice color, easy to wear, matte but not dry and the rosegold package is not stunning. While the Pupa I’m Pupa matte lipstick also such a great shade, but it is a bit more on the drier side, but do not forget it is half priced to CT one. I have discovered two really great Trend it up products: Expert lip primer & care is a great due to MAC prep+ prime lip for the price of a tenth and also their lip oil is such a miracle.

It cosmetics cc also a great product, however I have ordered light- medium based on the sephora.com foundation finder, it is a bit dark for me, so might be during the summer I can make a use of, but it is look great on the skin. The Body Shop Lightening touch concealer is a great dupe for YSL Touch Eclat, while E.l.f. gel liner is nice to replace Mac blacktrack liner.

I am unable to use the Lano Allover cream as my husband just adore and taking it everywhere;). I did not have the opportunity to try out the other lanolips products as I am still thinking to keeping both or giving one to my sister. Also The Ordinary Sunscreen is useless in this bad weather so…

E.l.f. Daily hydration moisturizer and Beauty Shield spray are nice products, but have not decided if them empty will I repurchase them or not.  I am not going to repurchase the Trend it up Eyeshadow Cream, it is nice on the top of other eyeshadows but not long wearing and not waterproof at all.

So I hope you enjoyed reading.

Cruelty free hair care

Hi lovelies,

The cruelty free series on after my skin care routine where is my hair care routine. Previously I was not so conscious, so I had to change nearly my whole shelf. Firstly I will write about my basics and then the styling products which I used to use and currently use:

  • Shampoo: I was so heartbroken, when I have found the fact that Yves Rocher is not cruelty free anymore, so I just have bought this Neobio Sensitive shampoo, which I have tried only once so I hope it is going to be working for me. No silicone,no parabens,no perfume, vegan and gluten free- sound amazing:)
  • Conditioner: I was a really huge fan of Elseve (Elvive) by L’Oréal for ages. I have changed to a little indie product for 2 months and it is so good. This is a small German Brand, exclusive at DM: Langhaarmadchen: Intensive Repair, which is a products for long hair girls:). I think I will try their other products as well, because this conditioner makes my hair so smooth, shine and weightless.
  • Leave-in conditioner:Gliss Kur Total Repair Express conditioner was my cult fav for ages, I loved to use it on my towel dry hair, just to get some extra shine and repair, now I have changed Bleach London-  one. (I seems the same after 1 use).
  • Hair oil: That was a point, where I am using The Body Shop Argan Oil (beauty oil category as it is good for skin too) for 2 years now, which is a really rich oil. I have their jar package, now they have changed it into a spray oil version.

Styling:

  • Heat protector spray: I rarely use hair straightener or haircurler, but when am I, it is the Balea: Hitze Schutz Spray for ages, it is one of the cheapest in the market, but still so good.Balea-Haarprofis-Hitzeschutzspray-1000x600
  • Wave spray: salty water wave spray is my must have: I have used Tony&Guy and then L’Oréal Stylista, but now I have ordered Ouai Wave Spray to try a finally cruelty free one.
  • Dry shampoo: Yet I have used Aussie (travel size) really rare on bad hair days, but this is a product which I do not need so… I am looking for my future to be.
  • Hairspray: I used Taft, but Have not purchased a cruelty free alternative yet, as I am not really using these styling sprays…looking for your suggestions.

I did not write about hair mask, bacause I use a DIY: olive oil or egg-coconut-lemon combo- these are more natural and costsmuch less.

Which are your favourite hair care products? Let me to know done at the comments.
