Black friday while your low buy year

Hi lovelies,

I was started to write that post right before Black Friday. Some people love it, others just have it and defining it as an evil enemy or the symbole of overconsumption. Let me tell you something intention shopping is really depends on you. Do the same as you would do on other days: plan- wait- think- act. Try to find the deal. If you are eyeing on something like I do with my wishlist, you will be able to decide the best deal.

If you have a list of your planned Christmas gifts, than it is a great time to go shopping… or just simply do some online one. By prioritazing your relatives you will not end up with a lot of clutter. You might have saved up for something that is the time to buy it.

What am I going to do?

I did 100 items decluttering November challenge, so I know what I have, checked my wishlist and decided that I will have to choose only one item for myself and further more this item will be one of my Christmas present. I am considering to buy a bag from Furla or Coccinelle, jeans, Veja sneakers or the Sezane pulover, depends on the deal. I will have to purchase my skincare items from La Roche Posay and my Pixi Glow Tonic. The rest will be gifts like persolized calendar from Cewe.

And guess what happend? I only purchased the 4 annual Cewe calendar, which we do every year. I was so overhelm by this whole on sale thing as most of the items I was looking for neither was on sale nor was in stock. So I decided to give up searching… I have to admit I was working and my mood recently is not about getting into crowded shopping malls at all. In the whole month I have purchased a book and repurchased my beloved skincare line from La Roche Posay.

So you might recognized that these are said to be not cruelty free products. Firstly they do their job much better than the alternatives which I have found. Secondly, there are clean products, so they will not irritate my skin. Finally, they are made in Europe, so even if they test in China these are coming from their French factories.

In November and December I was quite busy with some of my health issue, so I kept myself away from writting and posting. I have to admit on the top of the pandemic I am having an emotionally heavy period of my life, which I am not ready to post about now.

Take care!

What I got for Christmas

Taking back to my Christmas wishes check Here what was on my list 🙂 and read here which I received. This is a really must-to-write post, eventhought it will be short.

  • We received some nice wines, which we actually love: Gere Rosé and a rare red one.

  • Finally not only my husband, but also me:)). There were tons of chocolates of course, calendar to our wall like every year. We really loved that beautiful tea selection from my brother, cos nothing better than enjoying tea together on our day off. And guidebook to our Honeymoon… stay turned for its upcoming stories!
  • From my parents I have got a pocket calendar with little prince- well they really know I love that book eversince and bathrobe with bear face and ears… so so soft and cute and really cool ( I think my husband’s hands in it- he really hates my old one). So much thanks.
  • From my grandparents ( really my grandma is the classiest woman I know) silk Wyf scarf, my fav Clarins Eclat Minute- she has known that I was out of it- and Greek&Georgeous Bha- I was told her that I wanna try, just a bit expensive- how cute she is, really remembering these things?
  • From my sister my biggest wish: Longchamp Le Pliage … no words to be described…

  • From my hubby, I am really greatful to him, as my beloved luggage was broken, despite the guarantee they were unable to repair it, even they offered to buy it off, half price of Samsonite was a way too expensive just right before Christmas and Honeymoon, so he is just awsome, previously he also bought me a kitchen mixer.

In summary, gifts are really cool, even to receive, even to give. I am really greatful to my family that we really care so only bought things that are needed to each other, but love and to be together is more important than gifts. Read my next post of our Christmas: outfit, menu and the Hungarian traditions.

Gifts (better to give)

These all the things which I bought for Christmas(sorry for the mess)

Sister: Book(hungarian), cute calendar, Lipstick and home decor box from Cinq Filles

BFF: cinq filles box + candies

I always try to buy gifts, that my family and friends will like, literally love to see the joy of people upon receiving really wanted gifts.

Continue to my hubby: guys need IT and tech things, so his extra internal storage was his wish, but did bought Ted Baker wallett- Asos haul here-, swimsuit for our upcoming honeymoon and his favourite handcream ( the only he can stand) from L’occatine Classic shea butter one.

Brother: Yrka T-shirt- he really likes these extra-not-fast-fashion ones and some IKEA plates which he asked for.

We did a family calendar for my grannies and parents-timelapse video below and some Grey towels for our parents, which just perfectly matches to our house’s bathrooms.

Did bought some little things to my siblings’ partners: St. Andrea: Napbor ( really good quality white wine cuvée from Eger region) and Nebouxii socks as he loves colorful and funny socks. For me: local made and Nebouxii is the only animal “wearing blue socks” which is just adorable.

For my brother gf: little cat book, sented candle and cute, warm socks.

Of course we did some ginger bread in this nice folie.

Stay turned for my gifts…

Shopping Guide (Budapest Alternative)

As being a Concierge, I often face with the question where I can do shopping in Budapest instead of Shopping Malls or looking for local products.

Yesterday (21rst)-I had a shopping day, unfortunatelly I do not have a vlog camera (I should- so that can add to my wishlist). Below I draw my route and of course there will be a lot more shops in the city than mentioning.

I want all till Opera Metro Station and get into the side street from Andrássy Avenue to :

CINQ FILLES – Paulay Ede str. 44.

The most beautiful boxes I have ever seen, really high quality and it is also ideal for home decor. They do sell boxes, premium bonbons, sweets, wines and candles. I was come to buy their own products only.

look the shopwindow:

PROJEKT SHOWROOM- Paulay Ede str. 29.

It is a temporary- pop up store- which now focus on Christmas, so they do have little books, stationeries, cheramic, gastro gifts, toys and bags ect. They have Greek and Gorgeous, KAP makeup or The Ordinary the things which I was coming for.

THE GARNER STUDIO- Paulay Ede str. 18.

It is a clothes store, with local designer brand like Tomcsanyi, YKRA or limited edition of Tisza or international Brand like Toms. It has a retro feeling from the ’80s and ’90s Eastern Europe, which is pretty cool, this shopping bag reminds me my grandfather’s ones used at the Market in the early ’90s.

LAURA VIRÁG- Király str.28.

Shabby chic flower shop with the most beautiful and fresh flowers in town. Really love their creativity, joy and athmosphere of the shop.

WONDERLAB- Vere Pálné str 3.

Also a concept store with 30 local designers for jewely, clothes, bags, dog equipment, they are my old time favourite. Really chatty place and prices are not so high for quality.

BORTÁRSASÁG- multiple locations

If you are a wine lover and you prefer quality, that’s your place. If you are a foreign visiting the city and looking for some good wines that is the place and they do have knowledge what they sell! I should turn back soon.

Stay turned for my gifts haul…

My Christmas wishlist

These are my most wanted gifts for this Christmas, but any way it is very easy to make me happy with a good book, make up or parfume too.
Hereby my screenshoots:
1- Longchamp Le Pliage Tote L in Navy

I have a strange relationship with this bag, was so close to buy it several time (5-6) in the past 3 – 4 years, but never did, because for me it was always "Mom's bag from the '90s". Now I know why she loves her Black one over the last 20 years: it is just the Perfect tote: big enough, zip and small to carry.

2- Zoeva Café Palette

So nice colors and of course I am a coffee lover…

3- Chanel Gabrielle

Generally I am not a Chanel Parfume fan, but finally they came out with this light, flowery and the packaging is so adorable.

4- silk scarf- Still waiting to find the ideal timeless one, might be at COS, Massimo Dutti or local designer Vyf or Etsy….

5- gorgeous or cute calendar 2018- love to write

Now it is time to go!

Stay turned my Christmas serie continue soon.
