Creating my ultimate wardrobe: Accessories

Hi lovelies,

This is the third post in the series: after lingerie and very basics, please welcome accessories. They are small but impressive part of every wardobe: they can change your whole appearance instantly.

My aim is not to share a lot of luxury items, I rather stay realistic to be able to follow and some of the items still exist in my closet, others are on my wishlist.

Please note what is affordable to me, might not to everyone, I want to educate and do not want to judge you.

Tote bag: can be a leather or faux leather, but if you take my advice try this Longchamp Le Pliage bag- I have it for a few years and it was worst every penny: huge but you can store it floded, even can use it as an extra bag.

Mid-Sized Black Bag: I do suggest to have a work bag- I am budgeting for this Polene one as it is seamlike the perfect for me: mid-size, leather and crossbody…

Bucket bag: I used to own a green one, every I loved its size, I cannot made a great use out of it as the color was not the best to use in my everyday life, so after the Polene one, this is the next.

Black evening bag: I have one from a local designer, but that is the one if you have the budget you can go for more high-end like a classic Chanel flap.

Light summer bag: when you wear lighter colors it is a great otpion to go for a lighter mid or small size bag- mine is also from an other local designer.

Backpack: more sport days it is ideal to have a one, even you can charge it with your loved ones. Kankens are so great , 16 l size backpacks for leisure or city walks too.

Belts: it is a great idea to have a two colored classics belt, like this Kazar one, but my eyes on this Isabel Marant waist belt for a while to wear it with dresses, coats ect.

Leather gloves: also a must have during winter- classy, elegant and keep you warm- try to find a great local option. Best if the color is match with your winter coat or you can not go wrong with a classic black.

Scarf: Twilly is great as a hair, bag accessorie or using it traditionaly arround your neck, a nice silk one elevates your style. Silk scarf for the transitional seasons with demin or lether jacket or with a trench coat, while a thicker wool or cashmere is so great for the winter.

Hats: I thikif you have these 4 you have everything for the whole year.

Sunglasses: find just one perfect for you- I do not think I have to expalin why.

“How many money?”

Hi lovelies,

I hope you had a great Christmas so far and enjoyed my wishlist and hauls in this holiday season. At the end of the year is the time to summary, to account the year and as well as our spendings as well. In the beginning of the year I started an intensive Cruelty Free journey and used up as many products as I could, while during the year I was started to think more sustainable about my spending… Now let’s count my shopping, estimate the spendings and do the “people’s judgement”- in the comment section- try to come along witha conclusion.

Accessories:

Might be the easiest category first- as for myself I onlybought a necklace, a headband, a hair band, rubber and a bobby-pin:

I admit that these things are ones which I can live without, but I love the cashmere headband it is so useful for ear protection and the pins just pop up my look sometimes. The necklace and the rubber was okay for holiday.

All from H&M– 5 pieces- spending: 11 472 HUF (ca. 36 EUR)

Gifts was:

Shoes:

It is so unbelievable I have purchased only one shoe, which was a summer sandal (leather) on sale:

ginorossidn694mtwobgbg2512x_gino_rossi-dn694m-two-bgbg-2512-x_ab_0003

Brand: Gino Rossi– 1 item- spending: 8 850 HUF (ca. 28 EUR)

Clothes

OMG, it is even hard to collect:

I think I had one more Yellow summer dress, which is not on the montage. Eventually I have 2 (leopard shirt and the black flower patern dress, which are not in my wardrobe anymore and the black dotted dress I have not even wore yet, while the brown dotted only one.

Brands: H&M, Zara, Mango, Promod, Oysho, Levi’s, COS– 21 items-  168 642 HUF (ca.527 EUR) ca. 40 EUR spent on useless clothes, which is in a way much, but on the otherhand not that much because it is under my 5% of income, however I am still wants to decease the numbers in the future and buy more quality items next year- at least one from a local designer.

Let’s continue tomorrow with make up and skin care…

Xoxo,

Summer clothes update

Hi lovelies,

I have not written for a while as I mentioned the lastly why… Now it is time to show my recent updates on my closet.

Firstly I have made a bigger decluttering regarding my clothes, shoes- I would say Summer Declutter vol. 1. as I think I have to check it again in August. So have ordered a remixshop bag, to check if I can sell the items, which are unused or barely used – I am fed up with Facebook Market function as it is so hard to get a reliable buyer and takes so long- so the opportunity costs do not pay off if you know what I mean ;). So into the bag I added totally of 10 clothes and a pair of shoes. And also I took 2 big box of clothes to the charity shop, these are the middle condition clothes and one smaller to H&M recycle campaign, I know it is Fast Fashion but, it is better to take the ripped or torned textiles to return them.

So the list will be a bit long, but it was my purchases of June and July, yes I can not afford designer clothes so, it is Fast Fashion…

Shoe: leather sandal by Gino Rossi (Italian brand) ordered it for ca. 28-30 EUR with a -65% discount after a long hunting and that is what I was exactly wanted: beige or brown flat sandal with ankle strappy- I have sent much less than I was expect to be:).ginorossidn694mtwobgbg2512x_gino_rossi-dn694m-two-bgbg-2512-x_ab_0003

H&M

I have placed an order due to the sale at H&M online- I know it is so bad, but things happens- of 5 pieces, but sent back 2 of them due to size (ordered 36 and sent out of a 42) or bad quality. I am keeping these 3:

All of them were 6- 9 EUR, which is pretty good value.

Zara

They are so quick and upto date, so that is why a lot of people love them, but honestly they are a bit pricy compare to the quality… but yes the design… so they do have 2 annual sales, the first prices are usually not so much of discount, 2nd and 3rd are pretty great. I went in to the store by the second and was so suprised nearly nothing left- a lot of crazy tourist bought them all :). So I only find the floating yellow/orange dress for ca. 15-16 EUR (have not find on site, so try to took a picture) and some new collection:

Sorry they do have so ugly models on site so…. It is a black cotton top with a tie (ca. 23 EUR) and the jumpsuit (ca. 45 EUR) – OMG I had to go back 2 times to change: first due to the cassier girl pulled out a thread while she was removing the security thing and next was like a badly tailored one…

Oysho:

I wanted a linen short so bad, so as H&M failed I finally found: so classic (ca. 20 EUR)

I was a good girl to purchase two bermudas to my hubby:).

Yes there were no beauty haul , but I hope you have enjoyed!

Decluttering my “childhood” room

Hi lovelies,

So it is a decluttering again, that was (is) probably the hardest when it is comes to your childhood/ teenager room… So I went home to my parents to do it.

My room

I am not using it for daily basis since 2009, so for 10 years going to be in September…OMG. It is a like an “all-girls” dream room, with white built-in wardrobe and shelfs, pink curtains, natural rugs and originally: light yellow wall – last year my mum choosed to paint it to mint green, which I hate.

IMG_5569

Declutter

I can not imagine from where I have these lots of stuffs… I have found a lot of good memory items, like letters with friends, journal etc. And also funny posters: Avril Lavigne, Back Street Boys or Maroon 5 and these get me back so so much of good moments and made so hard to decide. So I have just finished my nightstand, where my bags were and the wardrobe and also decluttered some beauty and perfumes from the shelves, so I ought to continue next time…

Most of the things when to the trash or recycling, but also to the Redcross charity and some of them are on sale now. If you wish to shop some of my clothes, take a look on my Depop!

Xoxo,

P.s.: my little helper will not be decluttered;)

Why you have nothing to wear?

Hi lovelies,

I think we all know that feeling when you open your wardrobe, which is full of clothes, but you are just searching and searching… but nothing. Yes, we all own a lot of items, which we do not like or not in our size and honestly they are all useless. #girlsproblem

So why you have nothing to wear?

  • … because they are not in your size or you just do not like them: they took the place of your wardrobe, might be you used to love them when you have bought but now it is time to through them away and give these to a charity.
  • … because they are not in a good condition: remember you love that black dress, but now it is looks dark grey, not so classy or even there are some screeches on it-I will repair and wear it on an other day – no you do not, say bye.
  • … because you do not have basics: basics are boring but quite important to pop up your other items, send your money on these and you will not need to buy them all the time,
  • … because you only have basics: that is the opposite and it is a way too boring, Let’s go shopping some new trends,
  • … because you rather buy cheap things: cheap items, looks cheap- buy quality and lack of quantity,
  • … because it is not your style: we do follow the trends, but not all of them are in your personal style and even if its fits you do not feel comfy.
  • … because everyone has the same: try to buy something more unique, I know it is so hard, but might some accessories will help, do not lookalike a clone.
  • … because you are shopping without thinking in outfits: sometimes the new love do not fit to any of the others in your wardrobe or you have bought exactly the same you already have. Let’s plan ahead!

I hope you have enjoyed this small post.

2018 April hauls

Hi lovelies,

We are having a coupon days here in Hungary, so I just would like to show you my purchases. Yes, I spent a lot, and I have not purchase a lot of things for months…warning before you start a crazy spending read my Clear out tips.

Beauty, health and skincare:

img_4302

Usually I am the person who buy economy packs on a lower price at drugstores like Nivea Micellar Wipes for travel, Tampa, Libresse, Always and Listerine will be enough for the next half-year. I wanted to try out Botanical conditioner, but bought two oldies, Fa have new smells, while Dove with cucumber was so fresh. I did buy some deodorants, toothpaste and shower gels to my husband.

img_4303

Honestly I wanted some Catrice products, but they were sold out on the very first day’s morning (wow How?) …. so I have repurchased two things, which are great but not cruelty free this Maybelline concealer and L’Oréal Lash Paradise (I know that Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is a cruelty free alternative, but it is pretty hard to get in Hungary) both was on -50%. Real Techniques finally arrived to Müller, it is a bit more expensive than at iHerb, but still affordable, specially with 20 % off. Last thing was Chanel Powder, you might know that I have made a big clear out and nearly all of my powders were old and outdated, so I have purchased with giant in the promotion, I hope I will love it…

img_4301

Cruelty free finally, I went i to The Body Shop to repurchase my favourite Vitamin E cream, they do have a new formula for normal/combination Skin so I am going to give a try. Of course I could not leave without the cult Shea Body butter, which is our other fav with my husband. Drops of Youth cream has a bigger packaging in a jar, as so many friends recommended and Vitamin E Eye cream was out of stock, I picked this one. Other free will be just samples, all of them are chosen by me, the serum was free, while two Masks for 300 HUF (1 EUR) due to the loyalty card. I did have 20% off by the coupon. Pupa (Italian make up and Skin care brand-might be cruelty free) launched their mask line, so this is a Bamboo Charcoal deep cleaning peel off mask and 2 packages of eye patches.

img_4304-1

Let’s go back to training, so at Biotech USA: Hungarian and former American nutrition brand – I have bought some shakes from the women line, repurchased L-Carnitine, which I love to use before running, feels like to able to run more. And Spirulina food supplement: alga based bacteria, which helps to get a bit more well-balanced. Links:here

Clothes

I tried to follow my Spring wardrobe wishes and skip purchasing items, which are Already in my wardrobe. Most of the places Galmour coupons give 20 % off from new collections.

There are some gifts for my husband from his favourites: polo T-shirts fromHeavy Tools (shopshop), short from Springfield ( shop)and a Levi’s (shop)511 summer edition trousers. (All 20 % off)

Intimissimi is my number 1 underwear brand: sexy, quality lace and comfort. I wanted to have a flowered bra, actually not this, but is was much better and my hubby picked this body in their  catalogue – it was expensive but it is relatively rare that he point on something for me… so soft and comfy.

Calzedonia is the brand which i am only purchasing on sales, they are so expensive…IMG_4308

Mango‘s white blazer goes to my basics, really versatile for formal events with trousers, dresses. I really love in love with this soft knitted top’s browny-golden color. top blazer

Finally I have found my culottes: H&M white-blue stripped, fits really to my new white blazer and blocked hills.

Lastly, Promod was not on the promotion of the magazine, but they did have a promotion for “Ma Carte” holders on 2 items. Honestly I wanted to buy one of their flower dress, but it was not worked on me, so I choose these two: raspberry and green color dresses. Buying a good dress was pretty hard this season as most of them are super mini or under the knee length dresses in the stores, neither of them ideal for my lifestyle on bike. green   silky

I hope you have enjoyed my haul. More hauls from me: The bronzer issue with some haulWhat we bought in Thailand , Asos haul and Anastasia Beverly Hills Haul.

Do not forget to wash your clothes before you first wear them !

Empties and clearing out

Hi everyone!

So Glamour days are just on the corner, as I do not want to over purchase I love to have a look what I have in my wardrobe, makeup kit or in beauty. And of course throw away the empties, old makeups and creams, sell or give away to a charity (clothes).

Shopping on sales

Glamour days is a shopping weekend in Hungary, organized by Glamour magazine, where you can buy a lots of stuffs with discounting coupon, of course there is a lot of shopping malls do have some coupons of 20%, but at drugstore you usually have 50% sales on items with the magazines, and there are some products , which I only buy on these days in every half-year. I think this time I should figure out a budget to avoid impulse shopping.

Here is my clear out:

MAKE-UP I HATE

  • Maybelline: Master Strobing Liquid– honestly I do not like this product, even I used only a tiny bit, I am going to sell it
  • Bobbi Brown: Instant Full Cover Concealer- this is an expensive product, which I have used only 3-4 times, but I can not stand it under my eyes, too thick and the color which the artist gave me (SAND) really does not match. Try to sell

Make-up empties:

  • Bobbi Brown: BB Cream (Fair) loved it so much now I will replace my other fav BB: Clinique age defense BB in shade 2
  • Clarins: Eclat minute (07) I have already repurchased
  • Laura Mercier Foundation Primer-Oil Free: really love that primer, that works perfectly with Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I do not know where to repurchase it-so what shall I buy instead?
  • MAC: Prep-Prime Translucent Powder:really nice white powder, but nearly empty might will purchase an other brand’s translucent powder.

Skin care empties:

  • The Body Shop: Vitamine E sorbet: really love that lightweight cream, I think I will repurchase it. This is my go to daily cream, make up is so well to apply on it
  • The Body Shop: Tea Tree Night Mask: Tati hates it,  do love it, the skin feels so smooth and clean after the night, I tend to use only a little bit of it for my blemishes
  • L’Oreal: Pure Clay: Glow Mask: it is not a bad clay mask, but I think I will look for something else, which is a bit more deep cleaner clay mask.
  • Yves Rocher: Serum Végétale (I think it was) Eye cream it is a big no…

Oldies:

  • Clinique: Stay matt powder: I loved that powder, but I use it for 3-4 years and it is nearly empty, so I think I have to replace it- might will be an other one just I have to make a search on it.
  • Essence: All about Matt!: is a really good fixing powder from the drugstore, lasts ca. 3-4 hours,so I do not really like that I have to powder my T zone again and again during the day. I understand the hype it is probably the best in value and price but I tend to send more for a better one. I do not like its packing….
  • Beyu: Brow Powder: honestly I really love that powder, so much products, but I have it for 4 or 5 years so too old to use, unfortunately I have not seen this brand anymore at Douglas (it was ca. 17-18 SD).
  • L’Oréal: Color Infaillible: Pressed pigments in Sahara shade, probably the best and long lasting pigment in golden shade, it has a lot of product and after a 8-9 years of use I stll have the third of it. L’Oréal why discontinue this?
  • Bobbi Brown: Pot Rouge: Pale Pink is my go to cream blush, it is nearly empty, I have purchased like 2 years ago, but the product itself is 7 years old according to this production code… I think I have to repurchase it.
  • Too Faced: Better Than Sex– Waterproof travel size just forgotten of the photo of empties… also a really cool mascara which I love- same goes to MAC powder.
  • L’Oréal: Color Riche– J.Lo’s Nude is empty I loved it, but I have MAC Angel now, which is really similar to that.

CLOTHES

I always  clear out my wardrobe at season changing, but this year March was a way too chilly so… I will not describe what I will thought away items by items.

  • Oldies, which I have not used for a year
  • Never used/Used once
  • Occasion dresses
  • Torn, starched or items which need to repair

SHOPPING

This year I want to be more planned, so I have just cut the coupons, figured out my budget to avoid impulse shopping, checked the brand websites according to my Spring wardrobe wishes  and I might will shopping more online.

Stay turned for my haul!

My ultimate packing list for Thailand

Hi everyone!

We have just arrived from our honeymoon, we sent 2 weeks in Thailand. Honestly, my packing was simply perfect: not over packed (18kg only from 30), had items for every occasions, so no extra purchase due to weather conditions or religious regulations. Read my packing list and hacks/tips by categories below:

Skin and hair care

This is my number 1 tip to keep the samples and make a use of them during your travel! Even thought hotels do provide toiletries, but the quality might not meets your expectations. Samples I brought: Mac lipscrub, Clinique: Prep start (15ml!) moisturizer, conditioners from Palette hair dye(from my sis), mini perfumes and shower gel (75ml!) which I have received from previous purchases at Douglas (like Sephora), small body lotion(60ml) from Body Shop box, Bobbi Brown oily make-up remover.

Full products:

  • shampoo by Yves Rocher
  • eye cream by Yves Rocher
  • 2 suncreams from Sundance (spf 30 and 25)
  • Aloe vera aftersun by Sundance
  • Nivea micellar wipes (25)
  • Zewa wet toilet paper (42)
  • box of Tampax
  • Tissue mask by Balea
  • Body Shop’s Wild Argan oil
  • toothpaste and toothbrush

Make-up:

At tropical weather you do not need so much of make-ups but a bit of course. For everyday I only used my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Waterproof version in travel size as my lashes are blondes… for day trips I was made a use of Bobbi Brown’s BB (fair shade) as it has spf 35, my Blonde BB brow pencil and L’Oreál  Perfect Slim liner, BB Sandwash Pink Lipcolor and used blocking film  paper instead of powder.

As for night outs was a bit more:

Eyes: MAC quarto of Brule, Naked Lunch, Girlie and Haux and BB Long-Wear Cream Shadow stick in Pink Sparkle

Face: MAC: Prep+Prime Transparent Finish Powder, Nars: Orgasm Blush, BB: Pale Pink cream blush, The Balm: Mary-Lou Manizer, BB: Bronzing Powder-Stonestreet, Maybelline:The Eraser Eye Concealer and BB: Foundation Stick (Beige)

Lips: MAC: Ruby Woo(Red) and Estee Lauder:Uninhibited (Pink)

Tools: I tried to use my hands, but eyelash curler, powder puff, my BB face blending and MAC 217 brush was on my help. (Of course comb, cotton buds and cotton pads)

Hacks: used ca. 5-6 beauty cases for makeup, skinhair, medical and electronic items like chargers.

If you are interest in make up check my previous post of LipsticksMy favMy hates

Shoes: flip-flops for the beach, swimshoe, my beloved Steve Madden Irine Black heeled sandal (for nights), my go to Vans Athentic and running shoe (for travel and training)- as you see these all blacks ex. my Nike just to be easier to get dressed.

Bags: Longchamp Le Pliage Shooping Bag in Navy (What I got for Christmas)and a Black leather Petrity crossbody

Clothes:

It was really strange checking my summer clothes in the middle of winter, so most of the clothes was already existed in my wardrobe. As for bikinis and swimsuits I tried to bring those which perfectly mixed together and finally I did not used my swimsuit…

I tried to bring clothes from natural fabrics like linen or cotton. I try to list and post some photos of them:

  • 2 dress for the beach
  • 3 shorts
  • 2 skirts
  • red evening dress for Lebua
  • yellow linen summer dress
  • 3 long Shirts
  • long linen trousers
  • black linen long dress
  • black jeans for travel
  • 2 pulovers for travel
  • jeans jacket
  • 2 T-Shirts and 3 tops and a body
  • nighties with dressingcrown
  • 8 pants
  • 5 pair of socks
  • 2 bras
  • sport bra, top and short

Hacks: as we had 3 hotels, so I tried to pack to be no need to unpack all the time, so folding the clothes 4 times to be able to see them and used IKEA ISTAD bags to save space in our bags.

Shopping on sales

WELCOME TO MY FIRST BLOG POST OF 2018! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Might be you still suffer from a new year’s hangover, while I have already finished my first working day of the year and now is on the way to give you some tips and tricks for the sales shopping tomorrow. Grab a coffee and read it quickly.

Before shopping:

  • check your existing wardrobe out: open up the closet and look what you have, check their conditions – to remember your items in store – even you can clear it up like me
  • inspire: trends for the year, even for spring/summer. Popsugar tipsVogue Paris or just simply read printed magazines
  • check brand’s websites where you wish to have shopping tomorrow
  • get the idea how much money you wish to spend

On the day of shopping:

  • does not matter if you shopping online or in store, do not buy the clothes not in your size or neither items which has a torn on, you will never sew
  • always think about your wardrobe
  • think about the quality and price tag if it is worst it or not
  • saw the same price tag as before sales? no, away from your hands
  • limit your shopping time
  • if you have the maybe in your mind just do not buy
  • +1: personally I love to have shopping alone, because with friends or mom or sister I always purchase more as they do not know well my wardrobe and always persuade me, so meet your frinds for a coffee during shopping in a coffee-house where you can discuss.

What would I buy now? Hereby some inspirations:

  • cult classics like Levi’s 501 on sales now

  • make up sets- Christmas edition always on sales now
  • Home products

Asos haul

Believe it or not till this summer I have never purchased online goods ( Steve Madden wedding shoe was my very first one in July). I am the person who love to touch the clothes, bags, shoes ect. upon buying the feel the quality of materials.

So Black Friday and the fact that I have unable to find a good quality leather purse with a coin pocket to my beloved Hubby made me to order from Asos ( considered them reliable).

DHL was quick till the boarder, but afterwards local post was late compare to offered delivery time, but finally got it.
Here is my order in summary:

The 6 items arrived in a huge box with some airbags. All of them packed into a seperate plastic bags.

Most positives:
Ted Baker purse: really high quality, excellent (look How gorgeous) packaging and beautiful chocolate color✅

Sunglasses: I have just bought it, because I wanted to have a cheaper than my Ralph Lauren one to the beach for our upcoming honeynoon. It is over my expectation- made of metal, not just plastic, really love the design.💕

Swim shorts: it is also just to have a second for him to our honeymoon. He considered it "not bad" , due to Calzedonia is better ( an twice more)✅

Full pleated midi skirt: I was afraid of its lenght (being tall), but it is perfect. The color is forest green so I thought it will be darker by the photos, but it is still nice and perfect with a black top for Christmas dinner. I just can not stand the smell of it, like a Chinese clothes store, so just quickly take it to the Washing machine…✅

Tropical swimsuit: darker than on the site, quality is good, I will be only afraid of the breast part😎

Black swimsuit: I love Black so I tend to order one. For the first impression the high cut is strange and afraid of the belt rides it up and then it will not look good. Might send it back, but keep trying it at home.

I am too white and off bikini shape to take a try it on shoot, sorry.

All my orders comes in Perfect true to size: EUR 36/UK 8.

Will I order in the future? Yes, but not all the time.
