Better me(?!): Minimalism

Hi lovelies,

2019 is a kind of big changing for myself: I try to send and use less, be more sustainable. Since we have moved in we rarely do but things to our flat, as I do not want to make it overcrowded. I think I have not done our home tour  yet, but it is a soon to be however I feel it is not ready yet.

So I am trying to minimizing my closet, take away all that I am not in love with, but first I want to share some recent purchases.

Faux leather skirt– Promod: I always had a faux leather skirt, but as it was smashed I have taken it to the trash in November, so now I have replaced it with an A-line one. It is a mini length and suede patches on the sides.

Basic black T-shirt– H&M: I was needed a v-neck 100% cotton basic black T-shirt as I am really hated my previous Zara one, just I am going to giveaway now. I bought a size bigger than me, just to be more casual.

Leopard shirt- H&M: this is trendy piece, but I do not wanted to spend a lot on it, as it is diffenetely not an investment and also finally I have found one, which is not polyester!

Stripped shirt– H&M: for a long time I wanted to have a blue-white striped shirt and also loved the shirts with a tie at the stomach, so it is a 2in1, I thought it is a pretty basic piece.

Now I am going to take 4 clothes to an exchange event: cut-out red dress, a blue dress (wore years ago), a black skirt (hate its shape) and a brown body (hate the material) – all of these are in perfect conditions, but not using them at all. A  skirt and a dress was so used so  just took to the trash.

Stila- Color Balm Lipstick

unthought it is not belongs to minimalism, but to my cruelty free journey… I have exchanged my MAC blush into this Stila Color Balm lipstick shade elle. Usually I do not like to change my products which I want to sell, but now I have done it as this balm was looked sheer on the reviews online so I was in the deal, but no…. just look at my swatch.  Afterwards I have checked the freshness by its batch code: 2013… It is a kind of fail…

And finally I want to do a minimal makeup challenge in February. I have already selected the 15 products which I am going to use in the entire month, okay it is also great to use up my products before opening a new one or buy a new one. Yes not all of them are cruelty free, but these are a way too expensive, so I wanted use them up:

  1. MAC- Strobe cream: Hydratant lumineux
  2. MAC- Prep+ Prime Lip
  3. MAC- Prep+Prime Fix+
  4. Trend It Up- Insta Ready Foundation
  5. Tarte- Shape Tape Concealer
  6. Clinique- Superpowder
  7. Bobbi Brown- Bronzing Powder
  8. Bobbi Brown- Pink Glow Highlighter
  9. Bobbi Brown- Pot Rouge in Pale Pink
  10. Bobbi Brown- Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in Blonde
  11. NYX- Epic Ink Liner in Black
  12. Too Faced- Better Than Sex Mascara
  13. MAC- Paint Pot in Painterly
  14. Bobbi Brown- Lip Color in Sandwash Pink
  15. Estee Lauder- Pure Color Love in Rose Xcess

+1 MAC- lipstick in Ruby Woo

I try to do a full face of make up of these products, if some of them will be empty during the month just going to replace them with a CF version. Will be updated at the end.

P.S.: I will try to avoid shopping:)

Xoxo,

My foundations

Hi lovelies,

November just have been started, which is my clear out month each year, so I am going to check out our household and get ride off our unused stuff, of course it is really useful before moving to our FLAT.

I have already selected out so of my drugstore makeup and now let’s continue with my foundations. I have 3 high-end and 2 drugstore now, 4 of those are pretty good and one will be getting ride off at the end.

  • Clinique: Age Defense BB with SPF 30- yes it is a BB cream, which I love to use during “normal” days. It is not CF, so I will not repurchase it, even it is my 4th or 5th tube… it is such a longwearing oil-control formula with UVA/UVB protection, so this is the key why it is anti ageing, it is also fragrance free and allergy tested. No need primer nor fixing powder and also great for sports. It i works for normal or combination skin. Its INCI is pretty, only Benzophenone-3 is on high risk at EWG scale, which is a chemical UVB protector. I need its CF dupe… I have bought Shade 02  at Doha Duty Free last February, 40ml is 39USD now at clinique.com.
  • Trend it up: Insta Ready Oil Free make-up– I have gifted during Glamour days with this ultra lightweight foundation. It is silky matte, quite liquify, no SPF but nicely stays for a full day, nothing extra in it, good INCI and no perfume. Shade 010 is retailed at DM for 1 000 HUF(ca. 3,8 USD) in 30ml- ideal for normal,combination-oily skin, it is CF.
  • The Ordinary: Serum Foundation– very similar to the Trend it up one, might a bit more coverage, but also quite liquify for all skin types with SPF 15. It is a product, which people hate or love, I am on the love side. Ordered in August from cultbeauty.co.uk in the shade 1.2N- Light Neutral, 30 ml is 5,70 GBP and CF too.
  • Estée Lauder: Double Wear is a miracle, so many people love it, I also think it is probably the best foundation which I have every used, of course it is medium to full coverage, so I do not use it for everyday- just for occasions or bad skin days. It is really stays for 15 hours (have tested on my wedding) with SPF 10, nice INCI only a pump missing. Their shade range is amazing, probably have one which is too light for me…. As it will finish I need to look for its CF dupe, comment down if you have suggestions. Bought it in August, 2017 at Estée Lauder Store in the shade 1c1- Cool Bone, now 30 ml is 42 USD at sephora.com.
  • Bobbi Brown: Foundation stick– you might already now it was not my  Bobbi Brown favourite product so by the time I am writing this, it has already gone to the trash, this formula might be better for someone with dry skin, also 3 beige was not a perfect match too, how ever I loved its packaging. Bought it at Bobbi Brown Store over a year ago, now 9g is for 46 USD at bobbibrowncosmetics.com.

I hope you have enjoyed this list, comment below your favourite foundations.

Xoxo.

Empties and clearing out

Hi everyone!

So Glamour days are just on the corner, as I do not want to over purchase I love to have a look what I have in my wardrobe, makeup kit or in beauty. And of course throw away the empties, old makeups and creams, sell or give away to a charity (clothes).

Shopping on sales

Glamour days is a shopping weekend in Hungary, organized by Glamour magazine, where you can buy a lots of stuffs with discounting coupon, of course there is a lot of shopping malls do have some coupons of 20%, but at drugstore you usually have 50% sales on items with the magazines, and there are some products , which I only buy on these days in every half-year. I think this time I should figure out a budget to avoid impulse shopping.

Here is my clear out:

MAKE-UP I HATE

  • Maybelline: Master Strobing Liquid– honestly I do not like this product, even I used only a tiny bit, I am going to sell it
  • Bobbi Brown: Instant Full Cover Concealer- this is an expensive product, which I have used only 3-4 times, but I can not stand it under my eyes, too thick and the color which the artist gave me (SAND) really does not match. Try to sell

Make-up empties:

  • Bobbi Brown: BB Cream (Fair) loved it so much now I will replace my other fav BB: Clinique age defense BB in shade 2
  • Clarins: Eclat minute (07) I have already repurchased
  • Laura Mercier Foundation Primer-Oil Free: really love that primer, that works perfectly with Estee Lauder Double Wear, but I do not know where to repurchase it-so what shall I buy instead?
  • MAC: Prep-Prime Translucent Powder:really nice white powder, but nearly empty might will purchase an other brand’s translucent powder.

Skin care empties:

  • The Body Shop: Vitamine E sorbet: really love that lightweight cream, I think I will repurchase it. This is my go to daily cream, make up is so well to apply on it
  • The Body Shop: Tea Tree Night Mask: Tati hates it,  do love it, the skin feels so smooth and clean after the night, I tend to use only a little bit of it for my blemishes
  • L’Oreal: Pure Clay: Glow Mask: it is not a bad clay mask, but I think I will look for something else, which is a bit more deep cleaner clay mask.
  • Yves Rocher: Serum Végétale (I think it was) Eye cream it is a big no…

Oldies:

  • Clinique: Stay matt powder: I loved that powder, but I use it for 3-4 years and it is nearly empty, so I think I have to replace it- might will be an other one just I have to make a search on it.
  • Essence: All about Matt!: is a really good fixing powder from the drugstore, lasts ca. 3-4 hours,so I do not really like that I have to powder my T zone again and again during the day. I understand the hype it is probably the best in value and price but I tend to send more for a better one. I do not like its packing….
  • Beyu: Brow Powder: honestly I really love that powder, so much products, but I have it for 4 or 5 years so too old to use, unfortunately I have not seen this brand anymore at Douglas (it was ca. 17-18 SD).
  • L’Oréal: Color Infaillible: Pressed pigments in Sahara shade, probably the best and long lasting pigment in golden shade, it has a lot of product and after a 8-9 years of use I stll have the third of it. L’Oréal why discontinue this?
  • Bobbi Brown: Pot Rouge: Pale Pink is my go to cream blush, it is nearly empty, I have purchased like 2 years ago, but the product itself is 7 years old according to this production code… I think I have to repurchase it.
  • Too Faced: Better Than Sex– Waterproof travel size just forgotten of the photo of empties… also a really cool mascara which I love- same goes to MAC powder.
  • L’Oréal: Color Riche– J.Lo’s Nude is empty I loved it, but I have MAC Angel now, which is really similar to that.

CLOTHES

I always  clear out my wardrobe at season changing, but this year March was a way too chilly so… I will not describe what I will thought away items by items.

  • Oldies, which I have not used for a year
  • Never used/Used once
  • Occasion dresses
  • Torn, starched or items which need to repair

SHOPPING

This year I want to be more planned, so I have just cut the coupons, figured out my budget to avoid impulse shopping, checked the brand websites according to my Spring wardrobe wishes  and I might will shopping more online.

Stay turned for my haul!

xoxo,
