A low buy year Chirstmas Haul

Hi lovelies,

With our Christmas, all the presents reflect to my low buy year, I have created a wish list, which was allowed to my family to do not buy any crap, of course me or we have still received some suprise. Of course I am always happy with some honey, good wines or chocolate (mostly sugar free as I have IR).

I am going to list them below- they were all on my wishlist- High Quality Items, however Farrow Bag have not arrived yet (since 8th December)…

We have also received a sett of bed clothes from IKEA and an iPad together with my husband. Of course some traditional Hungarian Christmas chocolates, some souvenirs from UK and Amsterdam, honey and a bottle of wine.

Probably the most creative was my brother, who have written his own cookbook with all of his favourite recipies (I also wanted to gift him one, where he can collect them from Zara Home, but it was sold out).

You, might think omg, these are just items, but I have to be honest we do not buy as soon as we want them, so I am quite happy with these items- were on my wishlist for a while- , futhermore I have to update my wishlist here too.

Girl, you can give experiences too, well yes, but I think it is more persolized and so much more depends on the current pandemic- we still have 2 vouchers which we have received before and never used… probably will never use, just was a waist of money.

Christmas of 2020

Hi lovelies,

2020 is a hard year for everyone, but thanksfully we all have Chrsitmas even in the middle of the pandemic. I think if you can be with your family than you are totally lucky. Here in Hungary maximum 10 people can get together, so me and my husband have decided to celebrate the Christmas Eve with my parents and with my brother and of course the cats. On Christmas day my sister and her boyfriend joined. We went seperately to see the grandparents for like a snacks.

Here we have nearly everything

I am writing these earlier than they actually receiving the presents, but I am going post it on on Christmas Eve. So what we will gifting?

  • Grandparents: calendar (not pictured), rafaello and coffee
  • My parents: calendar and a sous-vide machine (neither of them pictured)
  • My sister and her boyfriend: Pandora charm, Uno card and a book
  • My brother and his girlfriend: T-shirt, Tie Fighter model, sented candle and the wipes holder (rabit one)
  • My mother-in-law: purse and a book (also for her birthday)
  • My husband: Monopoly, Airpods (he is using it for a month, so there were no possibility to wrap it)

We had a so relaxed Christmas Eve with so great dishes as we have totally lost in the fun and the games, so unlikely in Hungary we have left the gifts opening for Christmas Day. We even took a little walk (6km) before dinner.

What I have received for Christmas?

A Kanken bag pack, a burgundy-grey scarf (so soft), a calendar (I hope there will be more appointments to write than this year), a body lotion- shower gel- sheet mask set, a T-shirt and a new iPhone (you might realized it from my last post).

How was your Christmas?
xoxo

What I am gifting for this Christmas

Hi lovelies,

It is 24th December, the night when we receiving our gifts in Hungary. So for us Christmas is rather about that the family gets together and having a nice time eating, chatting, singing and playing, so you might think it is not such a huge gifts. A lot of people think (wrongly) it is not a great even and you can buy everthing when ever you want- that why of thinking is the key to lead us overconsumption, the costmer based society, so teach your children to wait for certain things, to be able to enjoy when they get it, not just buy them whenever they say, enjoy the wander of Christmas and no stress about the gifts, be relaxed. I do really enjoying Christmas and the Advent period, I love to think about “what they would love”, imagine what they would love and even just ask my family members to write a wishlist and then I can just choose from. Enjoy making packing is so joyful- so think ahead and so stress:). Rather not buy just give them the money you would spent on them.

I have paired up with my brother and sister to buy the gifts together for the rest of the family- I bought only my hubby’s gift seperately.

I have homemade for everyone a small portion of sugar almond.

My Grandparents:

Like every year we have made a persolized calendar from our pictures, which they do love and have space on their wall. I have made some sweeted almonds and bought a pack of their favourite coffee, which they would buy anyway.

My Parents:

We did the same calendar, almonds and for my dad: 2 shirts and a leather belt (all of them were he would buy anyway. For my mum a Sony Sports wireless stereo headset and a book.

My sister and her boyfriend:

They have been ask for two real leather gloves, so that is what we have bought with my brother and of course the almonds what I have done and a ticket for a theather in January. I have nearly forgot the homemade cotton pads for her.

My brother and his girlfriend:

We have made a “hugge box” for them as they told we need nothing… so the little nothing was: candle, mademade cotton pads, almonds, theather tickets and cooking class in a wire basket.

My husband:

His main gift from us was a Hama GAMING HEADSET – I think it is Urage- which my brother choose to him, also a book and a theather tickets for 3 places, which he can choose and I hope he will choose me to go to.

DIY Christmas gifts

Hi lovelies,

After my luxury suggestions and my wishlist, now it is time to share some DIY Christmas gifts, which I usually do every year or just this is the first time. Enjoy:

Photo Calendar/Photobook or Printed Photo: it is like a half DIY

It is very easy to make online software by Cewe, the most hardest thing is to collect and choose the photos to use for it, yeah it is require time, but all of my grandparents and my parents loves it, as we have nearly no photo printed. Tip: you can make also digital photo books or printed picture to the wall.

Experience Box:

Do you know these Chinese cookies? So that is going to be similar and the gifts upto your budget. It is most ideal for your loved one, you can make monthly or weekly little gifts like the one on HIP2Save.

3

Handcrafts:

There is nothing better than having gifted something you have made on your own. Do you have talent in sewing, knitting, doing jewels etc. knit a scarf, do some ceramics, sew something like cotton pads (as me).

Bake or cook:

If you love cooking or baking, let’s shine your hidden talent. In the basic case I would to start with Ginger bread or Cinnanom sugar almonds, which is my absolute must have. Or just create your own spice mix…

I hope you have enjoyed. Merry Christmas baby!

Xoxo,

P.S.: You might wonder why I did not suggest DIY cosmetics? First I have never ever done, second every people skin is different and third I am not a Chemist.

Black Friday haul

Hi lovelies,

It is Cyber Monday, so now it is time to share an other haul with you:

2

Black Friday is all about great coupons and sales, I was planning ahead to shop only the items which are on my wishlist or on my Christmas gift list, who do not want to buy things for on a fraction of the price…. and finally you can buy all luxury goods you have just wanted.

3

Yes, that is might be thue in the US, but here  in Europe usually only 15-20 % or might be more if you spend more, but why to spend on more thing just to get a 30% or a 40% and usually over 200 EUR. So after an exhauted working day I was decided to skip going to any of the shopping malls and looking something online as I was really fed up with people.

Only deals was the same: on certain items, only 20% off ect. okay I have nearly bought this beautiful Furla Mimi for 50% in mid-size, but then I have realized even 220 EUR is so much to spend on myself, otherwise I do not want to force anyone to buy me a that expensive bag for Christmas (if they do in their own that their decision) and I think I will have the case in January too.  I was thinking of a lot of smaller deals like: Undersea bikinis, Cultbeauty, H&M or Mango…

5

So finally I was ended up purchasing a train tickets and goung to the countryside to my parents’ house and I think I was never been that thankful for a late night walk with my dogs.

4

So 29th November in 2019 was a really great BUY NOTHING DAY.

Xoxo,

Christmas wishlist

Hi lovelies,

Christmas in the air… let’s talk about my wishlist(sarcasm pls). Okay I know they say that items do not makes people happy… but sometimes yes, if they are have the joy and enjoyment of them. -they must not be expensive, but rather useful. I have to admit that I am anytime happy for something handmade, experince vouchers, travel, books or IKEA giftcards ect… of course luxury goods are highly welcomed (if I do not like them at least be able to sell them).

Dear Santa,

Yeah I am having a list of Autumn must haves and yes everything on that list would be also great to get, but here is my specification to go for this Christmas (useful for Black Friday as well):

Brown leather belt: I have to repeat myself, because I have not finding a great one so far, I really need a good classy brown belt (not with a big logo nor a Gucci Marmont belt) just a simple one, even a vintage would be great.

Coccinelle Olivia small wallett in black: I am using my husband’s spear wallett, but it is not so classy to have a men wallett, but that small size I just adore, so that would be the ideal one for it.

Levis 501 in grey- my size W26 L30 (L28 if only that exists), just to say so;)

Hourglass: Ghost Palette– it is a so nice palette, but a bit more expensive than to buy it for myself now.

3598e5a0f96901ccc74c13eff882de1e

Under eye brightening concealers: Becca or Pixi, which I really want to try, I have so dark undereye ereas so anything else are also welcomed.

Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon Lipstick– it is the perfect dupe for MAC Ruby Woo in cruelty free version, but of course I can not say no to the Ultimate Velvet Kit with Velvet Muse, Decade and Ribbon if you wish to have the free shipping:).

Intimissimi Emma Silk bra, but even their new knit silk blend tops are so nice:

Remington: Straight and Curl– I had to declutter my previous one, so I ought to replace it anytime soon and this hybrid seems like a great idea.

+1 if you have broken the bank or won the lottery I would say to apreciate your time and effort and kind agree a nice Furla Diva Bag or just leave some cash to collect and buy it on the sales in January. Here are my favourite colors:

Xoxo,

P.S.: If you decide to buy a parfume please consult my daddy:). For Jewels please visit The Mamakin store or Pandora.

Beloved Christmas (!?)

Hi lovelies,

I had some difficulties with this post,as I had to write it on my iPhone and it is did not appear till this morning.

so firstly I am so happy that we have just moved into our flat a week before Christmas and yeah it is not perfect and so many furnitures, wall glass are still missing, and one room is funcioned like a storage though, but it is one of the best feeling having our own place and real home. So I did not had time to write, as spending most of my time by organizing or “doing the expensive adults’ LEGO” so the furnitures of ikea. OMG we had been 3-4 times there in December and we still have some to take backs… I think I am going to do some home tours and topics later on, but here is a photo for now.

and I have nearly forgotten have you ever tried to get a new internet connection just write before Christmas? It is crazy I asked them to come and signed the agreement on the 15th, they supposed to come on 21rst. They have called in the last minute sorry is it a problem if we come between Christmas and New Years? Even we said it is, but what else can we do? Of course they did not even call,so fingers crossed for the 7ths….

christmas has come by soon, so we did not even had a feeling and I had to improvise the Christmas tree like that:

of course I had to work on Christmas Eve, people can not image how it is and how it is hurts when they scream at 9pm about how you cannot suggest anything to do or restaurants to dine, specially from those where they stop for every Friday night or for a month in each year… so people respect each other, respect in what they are believe in and try to be more tolerant. Honestly I can hardly believe every one is coming to a country without knowing the date a en  habits…  Christmas is the time when all of us hate to work, yes you can say you have chosen it- but you have to be more patient in the selfish world, noone wants to work on the celebration of family, just we have to and we try to survive.

So thankfully I got home to my parents and family for a lovely two days, which is always the best time of the year and especially now when it was not about gifts. (Basically we have received a few drinks, cakes and money, only my brother bought us a sandwich maker and I got some nice things from my Husband).

back to the city my mother-in-law has visited us, so I have guided her through Budapest while hubby was working.

I all wish you a Happy New Year !

My Christmas wishlist and Black Friday

Hi lovelies,

Christmas is just on the doorstep, so let’s see my Christmas wish list! Yes, it is better to give then to get so do not forget about the charity boxes! As you might know we are  in a middle of moving to our first own FLAT so there will be some homedecor on my list.

Lancome- Midnight Rose perfume: my ever favourite parfume, so I really would love to get a new one, because I just miss it from my life.lancome

Letterboard- write messages or moods to our kitchen wall and it is so nicely decorative.letterboard

A nice minimal ear-ring, like these:

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick or powder : this band is so adorable: luxurious, quality, nice package and CF. What else a girl can ask for?

Velvet sky armchair would be my dream, but it is a bit expensive mid-century design, but would be ideal for my dressing table.

sky

How I feel about the BLACK FRIDAY? I hate overconsumption, when people do not think and just running to buy something, while companies advertise their products with a price tag, which seems like a sale( higher up the base like it never been). So I am considering myself as a heedful shopper: only purchased those things, which I wanted to buy as a gift and where they give the sales from the original price, like Oysho or Calzedonia. So I have made only a teeny tiny shopping only and rather cleaning our flat-to-be today.

Xoxo,

Our Christmas

Most important in Christmas is to visit your family, get together and have fun like we do. I love the prepairation, to be cooking everything on the 23rd and 24th  December, decorating the Christmas tree in the morning- and after how our cats plays with it or to see the fire in the fireplace ( unfortunatelly we had to skip it this year as it was extremly warm) get dressed up nicely, listening and singing Christmas songs on. So Georgeous.

He was just sitting on the trash while I was baking 🙂

I just kept it simple (and forget my shoe)- it was a family event style of course.

Green pleated midi skirt-Asos haul

Shirt from Promod really modest style with some colors

White pulover in case of cold weather.

Make up:

It was really simple with BB cream, my Nars Orgasm blush, black mascara, Mary Lou Highlighter even to my eyelids and the Lady Ball Red Liquid Lipstick from Too Faced.

YSL-Black Opium Floral Shock was my parfume of the day.

img_1956

For Christmas moms arround the world do a crazy tons of foods. I do not know whether it is a competition to prepair that enormous portions, that the hole family can not eat for twice or what… At least we do not need to cook till New Years:)

Our menu was the following: (really tasty)

I am a foodporn addict so made most of the plats photographed:)

Garlic and Honey (for our Health)

Roasted Duck liver (medium well)

img_1969

Pheasant Soup with veggie and meatballs

img_1970

Stuffed cabbage with sour cream (tradional menu here: made of pork with rice in a ball and rolled in sour cabbage and then cooked with paprika- ours not heavy, lack of fat)

img_1971

Roasted Duck with mashes potatoes and purple cabbage

img_1972

Ananas Cake (which was made by me with wholegrain  flour just the cream was not perfect… it was looked like some sponge with cream and ananas, but it was tasty:))

Prepairing the table for the dinner:

img_2042

Roasted pike perch with rice

img_2029

Tiramisu

Of course we also had salty cakes, bejgli (rolled cake filled with wallnut or poppy seed) and the best bonbon: Szaloncukor (Stühmer is a quality one)

img_0465 img_2032

After a lot of eating and drinking, we played some games instead of watching TV.

I am a really big fan of that family event, but due to work I had to come bak to Budapest on the 25th December. It is definitely one of the worst thing working on a Christmas day. Specially people not nicer or more understandable or anything…

What I got for Christmas

Taking back to my Christmas wishes check Here what was on my list 🙂 and read here which I received. This is a really must-to-write post, eventhought it will be short.

  • We received some nice wines, which we actually love: Gere Rosé and a rare red one.

  • Finally not only my husband, but also me:)). There were tons of chocolates of course, calendar to our wall like every year. We really loved that beautiful tea selection from my brother, cos nothing better than enjoying tea together on our day off. And guidebook to our Honeymoon… stay turned for its upcoming stories!
  • From my parents I have got a pocket calendar with little prince- well they really know I love that book eversince and bathrobe with bear face and ears… so so soft and cute and really cool ( I think my husband’s hands in it- he really hates my old one). So much thanks.
  • From my grandparents ( really my grandma is the classiest woman I know) silk Wyf scarf, my fav Clarins Eclat Minute- she has known that I was out of it- and Greek&Georgeous Bha- I was told her that I wanna try, just a bit expensive- how cute she is, really remembering these things?
  • From my sister my biggest wish: Longchamp Le Pliage … no words to be described…

  • From my hubby, I am really greatful to him, as my beloved luggage was broken, despite the guarantee they were unable to repair it, even they offered to buy it off, half price of Samsonite was a way too expensive just right before Christmas and Honeymoon, so he is just awsome, previously he also bought me a kitchen mixer.

In summary, gifts are really cool, even to receive, even to give. I am really greatful to my family that we really care so only bought things that are needed to each other, but love and to be together is more important than gifts. Read my next post of our Christmas: outfit, menu and the Hungarian traditions.
