May beauty situations

Hi lovelies,

We do have a rainy May, so spending a lot of time indoor and doing a lot of works in the hotel and also from home as the conference season is on.

So I was diagnized with seborrhea at the end of March, I always have dandruff in Winter, but never thought that much, so I got some cream and medicals and went to allergy test, which shown my intolarance od diary products. So I am not drinking or eating them for 6 weeks and I tend to say my skin also looks much better and having lack of seborrhea which is such great. So I try to find the best sampoo possible as the medical sampoos are just occasional use only. The Body Shop Banana shampoo is one of my favourite, but it has too much parfume in it. Nature Box contains a bit less of fagrance, but I am not sure is they are CF, so just has purchased an Inecto Argan Shampoo, which is vegan and cruelty free and has lack of parfum. So just hope that it is going to work.

Now I have to admit that even I am try to be cruelty free I am not vegan and do not want to be vegan even if we have days without meat, sometimes I love to eat meat, specially fishes and also I can not suggest restaurant without having an overview of their cuisine.

My recent empties:

Bobbi Brown Brow pencil and lipstick in Sandwash Pink are not CF, so will not repurchase them, I already have a dupe of the lipstick in a Charlotte Tilbury one. Tarte lifted mascara is a nice brown mascara, it is getting a way too dry and used it up duuring the last 6-7 months, I do not know whether I will repurchase it or not, because it gives a really nice look but nothing extra for the price.  The Ordinary serum foundation is changed into a very bad shape: oil seperated from the other parts, color changed, so I can not use it any more – it is openned for 9 months…

I have took back 6 products to MAC and choose a lipstick in Faux for one of my greatest friend’s birthday.

9741026-1-faux

Reflecting on recent purchases:

My top of top is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick I just love it, it is the perfect lipstick: nice color, easy to wear, matte but not dry and the rosegold package is not stunning. While the Pupa I’m Pupa matte lipstick also such a great shade, but it is a bit more on the drier side, but do not forget it is half priced to CT one. I have discovered two really great Trend it up products: Expert lip primer & care is a great due to MAC prep+ prime lip for the price of a tenth and also their lip oil is such a miracle.

img_5701

It cosmetics cc also a great product, however I have ordered light- medium based on the sephora.com foundation finder, it is a bit dark for me, so might be during the summer I can make a use of, but it is look great on the skin. The Body Shop Lightening touch concealer is a great dupe for YSL Touch Eclat, while E.l.f. gel liner is nice to replace Mac blacktrack liner.

I am unable to use the Lano Allover cream as my husband just adore and taking it everywhere;). I did not have the opportunity to try out the other lanolips products as I am still thinking to keeping both or giving one to my sister. Also The Ordinary Sunscreen is useless in this bad weather so…

E.l.f. Daily hydration moisturizer and Beauty Shield spray are nice products, but have not decided if them empty will I repurchase them or not.  I am not going to repurchase the Trend it up Eyeshadow Cream, it is nice on the top of other eyeshadows but not long wearing and not waterproof at all.

So I hope you enjoyed reading.

Spring is in the air

Hi lovelies,

It is finally April, which is the real Spring month: take the trench coat on and ride your bike! I was really frustrated using the public transportation so far from November to March I just get fed up with people standing in my aura:).

I just have changed a couples of warm clothes into lighter ones in my closet and next week just going to take back to H&M, I think I will use up the coupon for home stuff there. Yes, our flat is improving but we still have not have our built-in wardrobe at the hallway, which is an issue with the Carpenter since January, so I just really hope that he will manage to do it by the end of April. Finally the last pieces to our kitchen: fridge it’s on its way. In March we have sent like a 30 000 HUF (ca. 120 USD) on plants inside- some of my friends told we are two scary doing a botanical garden, but also the balcony project will be on this month!

Into my cruelty free journey: that was my last order from Feelunique: Yes a lots of E.l.f. products, but HD concealer was free in 3 for 2 promo and I also sent more than 18 GBP on the brand so got an HD powder too, which is so great to replace my NYX HD, which dries my skin.

And finally I purchased my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick, which I was wanted for ever since (maybe just for ages)… I think it is a nice alternative for Bobbi Brown Sandwashed Pink. The Body Shop stopped selling my beloved Argan oil, so I will try this The Ordinary one out.

Also Spring is the best time to visit Budapest :).

Better me(?!): Minimalism

Hi lovelies,

2019 is a kind of big changing for myself: I try to send and use less, be more sustainable. Since we have moved in we rarely do but things to our flat, as I do not want to make it overcrowded. I think I have not done our home tour  yet, but it is a soon to be however I feel it is not ready yet.

So I am trying to minimizing my closet, take away all that I am not in love with, but first I want to share some recent purchases.

Faux leather skirt– Promod: I always had a faux leather skirt, but as it was smashed I have taken it to the trash in November, so now I have replaced it with an A-line one. It is a mini length and suede patches on the sides.

IMG_5557

Basic black T-shirt– H&M: I was needed a v-neck 100% cotton basic black T-shirt as I am really hated my previous Zara one, just I am going to giveaway now. I bought a size bigger than me, just to be more casual.

Leopard shirt- H&M: this is trendy piece, but I do not wanted to spend a lot on it, as it is diffenetely not an investment and also finally I have found one, which is not polyester!

Stripped shirt– H&M: for a long time I wanted to have a blue-white striped shirt and also loved the shirts with a tie at the stomach, so it is a 2in1, I thought it is a pretty basic piece.

Now I am going to take 4 clothes to an exchange event: cut-out red dress, a blue dress (wore years ago), a black skirt (hate its shape) and a brown body (hate the material) – all of these are in perfect conditions, but not using them at all. A  skirt and a dress was so used so  just took to the trash.

Stila- Color Balm Lipstick

unthought it is not belongs to minimalism, but to my cruelty free journey… I have exchanged my MAC blush into this Stila Color Balm lipstick shade elle. Usually I do not like to change my products which I want to sell, but now I have done it as this balm was looked sheer on the reviews online so I was in the deal, but no…. just look at my swatch.  Afterwards I have checked the freshness by its batch code: 2013… It is a kind of fail…

IMG_5561

And finally I want to do a minimal makeup challenge in February. I have already selected the 15 products which I am going to use in the entire month, okay it is also great to use up my products before opening a new one or buy a new one. Yes not all of them are cruelty free, but these are a way too expensive, so I wanted use them up:

  1. MAC- Strobe cream: Hydratant lumineux
  2. MAC- Prep+ Prime Lip
  3. MAC- Prep+Prime Fix+
  4. Trend It Up- Insta Ready Foundation
  5. Tarte- Shape Tape Concealer
  6. Clinique- Superpowder
  7. Bobbi Brown- Bronzing Powder
  8. Bobbi Brown- Pink Glow Highlighter
  9. Bobbi Brown- Pot Rouge in Pale Pink
  10. Bobbi Brown- Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil in Blonde
  11. NYX- Epic Ink Liner in Black
  12. Too Faced- Better Than Sex Mascara
  13. MAC- Paint Pot in Painterly
  14. Bobbi Brown- Lip Color in Sandwash Pink
  15. Estee Lauder- Pure Color Love in Rose Xcess

+1 MAC- lipstick in Ruby Woo

I try to do a full face of make up of these products, if some of them will be empty during the month just going to replace them with a CF version. Will be updated at the end.

P.S.: I will try to avoid shopping:)

My top 10 Beauty products of 2018

Hi lovelies,

Finally our internet is o, so it is time to post and share my thoughts on my favourites of 2018. Okay, not all of them I had from the beggining of the year and might be they are not new to you, but these are the most used and loved for me.

Skincare:

Lixirskin: Electrogel Cleanser and Universal Emulsion cream (1-2.)- these products are not overthought, very basics and works with a relatively good INCI…

Pixi: Glow Tonic – I have already written about it this is just changed my skin in a good way. (3.)

Nature Box: Shower Gel coconut oil (4.)- It is a vegan shower gel, with an incredible sent… I still do not know if they are CF- probably will repurchase it more and more time (after I used up my Dove-s, which I got for Christmas)

Haircare:

Ouai-Wave spray(5): finally a save spray which not try my hair…

The Body Shop: Wild Argan Oil(6)- it is the best oil I have ever used for my hair. + my hubby love it for his beard

Make up :

Physicians Formula: Butter Bronzer- I had it at the end of 2017, but Since that it is my total favourite(7).

Nars: Orgasm blush(8)- the blush which Inhave used the most, just bought write before they sadly Landed in China, so I have nearly hit the pan…it will be so hard to replace

Too Faced: Better than Sex (9): it was in my 2017 fav too, but it is the number one mascara for me, even wear it without any other make up to often.

Bobbi Brown: Long-Wear Brow Pencil (10) in Blonde, it is not CF I know, but it is perfect, so will be replace soon as it is not having so much in, formula and size is much better than the pomade…

I hope you guys enjoyed my short list, what was your favourites of 2018?

Xoxo,

My foundations

Hi lovelies,

November just have been started, which is my clear out month each year, so I am going to check out our household and get ride off our unused stuff, of course it is really useful before moving to our FLAT.

I have already selected out so of my drugstore makeup and now let’s continue with my foundations. I have 3 high-end and 2 drugstore now, 4 of those are pretty good and one will be getting ride off at the end.

  • Clinique: Age Defense BB with SPF 30- yes it is a BB cream, which I love to use during “normal” days. It is not CF, so I will not repurchase it, even it is my 4th or 5th tube… it is such a longwearing oil-control formula with UVA/UVB protection, so this is the key why it is anti ageing, it is also fragrance free and allergy tested. No need primer nor fixing powder and also great for sports. It i works for normal or combination skin. Its INCI is pretty, only Benzophenone-3 is on high risk at EWG scale, which is a chemical UVB protector. I need its CF dupe… I have bought Shade 02  at Doha Duty Free last February, 40ml is 39USD now at clinique.com.
  • Trend it up: Insta Ready Oil Free make-up– I have gifted during Glamour days with this ultra lightweight foundation. It is silky matte, quite liquify, no SPF but nicely stays for a full day, nothing extra in it, good INCI and no perfume. Shade 010 is retailed at DM for 1 000 HUF(ca. 3,8 USD) in 30ml- ideal for normal,combination-oily skin, it is CF.
  • The Ordinary: Serum Foundation– very similar to the Trend it up one, might a bit more coverage, but also quite liquify for all skin types with SPF 15. It is a product, which people hate or love, I am on the love side. Ordered in August from cultbeauty.co.uk in the shade 1.2N- Light Neutral, 30 ml is 5,70 GBP and CF too.
  • Estée Lauder: Double Wear is a miracle, so many people love it, I also think it is probably the best foundation which I have every used, of course it is medium to full coverage, so I do not use it for everyday- just for occasions or bad skin days. It is really stays for 15 hours (have tested on my wedding) with SPF 10, nice INCI only a pump missing. Their shade range is amazing, probably have one which is too light for me…. As it will finish I need to look for its CF dupe, comment down if you have suggestions. Bought it in August, 2017 at Estée Lauder Store in the shade 1c1- Cool Bone, now 30 ml is 42 USD at sephora.com.
  • Bobbi Brown: Foundation stick– you might already now it was not my  Bobbi Brown favourite product so by the time I am writing this, it has already gone to the trash, this formula might be better for someone with dry skin, also 3 beige was not a perfect match too, how ever I loved its packaging. Bought it at Bobbi Brown Store over a year ago, now 9g is for 46 USD at bobbibrowncosmetics.com.

I hope you have enjoyed this list, comment below your favourite foundations.

Xoxo.

Cruelty free dupes of my Bobbi Brown favourites

Hi lovelies,

Now I am on focus of my favourite Bobbi Brownproducts’ dupes, which are cruelty free. Bobbi Brown is one of my favorite makeup brand, I love her way of thinking about natural beauty, however I hate that they do tests on animals due to their Chinese market. In generally I had only 2 times a product that just not worked on me: Foundation stick is my love-hate product, but might because it would be better for dry skin (in some winter days I loved it) and the concealer which was too thick for me. I have their makeup remover oil, eye and the yellow face cream, they are good, but there are some others with are as good as with a better price tag. Since I am decided to become cruelty free I am stopped buying them. I will be honest, yes this is going to be the brand’s products are which I will use out and not going to repurchase them till they are not CF.

The famous gel liner was not my favourite, however I only had Union Jack limited edition color, which is a perfect blue, but it was too hard to work with.

Not TOP, but I gonna miss:

Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick: The packaging is really great. I have Pink Sparkle, which is a nice frosty shimmery pink. It isreally close to Zoeva’s Graphic eyes might purchase one or more in different shades… which is an exact dupe: Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow #34 Pearly Quartz Rose… might be it is time to check Kiko’s website again, as they have affordable and amazing products.

Smokey eye mascara: one of the best mascara I have ever used, but I am in love with Too Faced Better Than Sex now.

bb-smokey

Highlighting Powder Pink Glow: is a beautiful frosty rose highlighter, which is my favourite for my winter makeup, yes, mine holder was broken so I will definitely need to replace with Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lightning Powder in the shade Incandescent. Thankfully they have a travel size, as I know I will never ever use of 9g highlighter in 24 months.

FAVOURITES

Bronzing Powder- Stonestreet: this is the perfect bronzer: no shimmer, matte but not chalky, really long-lasting, no orange, green or mud undertone, no fragrance, blends nicely and highly pigmented. I am just hoping that Marc Jacobs O!mega bronzer is something similar…

bb-stonestreet

Potrouge- PalePink: this is my go to favourite pink cream blush and also a light pink lipstick, I am just into a more expensive one: Tata Harper’s Volumising Lip and Cheek Tint in very charming.

Lip ColorSandwashed Pink: is my favourite nude lipstick, I have to find something very similar, might be so of the Nyx or Charlotte Tilbury Pillow talk or Kiss Kiss will be the one.

Lux Lip Color- Parisian Red and Sunset Orange: I love these vibrant colors, which are creamy, nearly matte but with a nice finish. The Parisian Red is a warm rich red, with some blue undertone, might be Urban Decay Vice Cream Lipstick in F-Bomb or No-Tell Motel gonna be the dupe for this. Sunset Orange is the one, which I have not seen any CF dupes for yet, so keep searching.

Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil is a dupe of Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow definer, so as it will finish it will time to buy its original in blonde.

I hope you have enjoyed the list, if you have any suggestions just comment below.

here you can see why I did not like the foundation stick and the Union Jack liner…

Stylish from a 100

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Recently, I am watching and reading so many No or low buy year challenges. Ladies, especially if you are on a no buy, you are so strong- I admit I am a bit envy and admire you as well, because you are conscious and have enough, but I have to myself, even…

A low buy year Chirstmas Haul

Hi lovelies, With our Christmas, all the presents reflect to my low buy year, I have created a wish list, which was allowed to my family to do not buy any crap, of course me or we have still received some suprise. Of course I am always happy with some honey, good wines or chocolate…

My fashion trap

Hi lovelies, Today, I world like to talk about my style journey, where did I started and where am I at the moment? Back in my childhood my parents bought my clothes and shoes- usually before school year, for Christmas, namedays or birthdays we have received some clothes as well. With my siblings we have…

The bronzer issue with some haul

Hi everyone!

This post will be a mixture of my hauls and my makeup kit and it is going to be also a first impression.

Below you can see my recent purchases:

Spring wardrobe wishes was included my white mulberry silk top, which was a bit expensive, but really looking forward to wear it even it is a bit see-thought, but excellent with a nude bra. My other blush sneaker purchase was a bit more tricky, I went to Massimo Dutti to purchase the top and this shoe together, my shoe size is EUR 37.5 and usually half size is not available, they only had EUR 38 which was a way more big, so after a lot of calls by the shop assistant to other stores she helped me to order it online. I went home to check my confirmation and did not come, but I saw on their  site this shoe went to sale 14995 HUF (ca 50 EUR) while I have purchased it for 22995 HUF (ca. 80 EUR) I was so depressed… Slept badly and checked their website in the middle of the night and thankfully the sales only for size EUR 35 and all the other are out of stocks and I got the confirmation about the delivery for the next day. Size EUR 37 is just perfect:).

Recent my beauty purchases:

  • repurchases: MAC-Ruby Woo(missing from photo),MAC- Brush Cleanser and Clarins- Eclat Minute (07)
  • newies: L’Oréal- Paradise Extatic and Physicians Formula- Butter Bronzer

Impressions: L’Oréal- Paradise Extatic has already reviewed by much of you. Even it is existing for a half-year here I have not been too fascinating to run for it, so my Bobbi Brown’s Smokey Eye Mascara was empty, so I bought this cheaper one, as a lot of people said it is like Too Faced: Better Than Sex Mascara which I love but I can not buy it in Hungary. Honestly I hate that in our drugstores most of the makeups are just on the shelf without any cover and that is why some people open and use the products, not the testers… This babe was in a paper too:) and I love it a lot, even thought I think Too Faced still much better, but it is a really good alternative to BB Smokey Eye for the half price. In generally I love L’Oréal mascaras, but this is even over the top of them. Price: 3999 HUF (ca. 13 EUR)

Before my Bronzers, here is my  My Brush kit , My parfume collection and My lipsticks

Physicians Formula- Butter Bronzer: I would purchase it since it was come to Hungary this year January, but it was always out of stock at DM. Yesterday, I was just to buy some handcream, Carmex and Toothbrush to my husband, when I saw PF’s display was fulfilled. The price tag: 5499 HUF(ca. 18 EUR) bit more expensive than the other drugstore makeup and there was 2 shades Light Bronzer and Bronzer- on the tester both looked nearly the same, so I have picked up Bronzer. Packing: in a way really nice: good colors and Hawaii feeling, mirror, but there is a useless sponge/applicator and the mirror is in the back , why not is the same place as the products? The pan is big enough, color is beautiful almost full matt, but I was expecting to have this more creamy, but after using it with my brush it is quiet powdery and the coconut smell is just too much for me…

Compare it to my two other bronzer:

  • Pupa Sun Bronzer and Shine: Pupa’s packaging is much better, even I do not like to have the highlighter and bronzer in the same pan, so I can only use it during the summer, when I prefer to shiny bronzer or separately to my eyes. PS’s color is not as yellow as Pupa’s, which is better. Pupa has a bit less smell. Price range is the same.
  • Bobbi Brown Bonzing Powder- Stonestreet: it is more expensive, nearly the double but it is highly bet the PF is pigmentation, color, packaging, formula and no smell:).

Xoxo,

Insta

My Brush kit

I do not have a lot of brush like a youtuber or vlogger, sometimes I feel I have to purchase some more, so here is my current collection. As you can read here that I am a lipstick kind of person so I have lack of eye brushes as well. My list is rather for a starting kit.

FACE:

MAC 190 – Classic flat foundation brush: I like to apply stick (cream)

img_2068

my)foundation and creme blush with it.

Real Techniques- Expect Face Brush- My go to foundation brush, it is so good to blend liquid foundation, having short whites like a duo fibre brush, but it is not that (I used to have a duo fibre brush just it was too big for my face).

img_2067

Bobbi Brown-Face Blender: from real hairs luxurious brush. Often use it just to touch up and blend everything together, but I love bronzer application with it, sometimes I do use it for blush or highlighter or powder.

Real Techniques- Blush Brush: Point, fluffy blush brush. I love its flawless finish. Synthetic also a bit duo fibre brush for powder blush.

img_2066img_2065

Bobbi Brown- Powder brush: real hair shaped brush, just love this pricy giant angel:)

img_2063 IL-Makiage- Powder: First face brush I have ever bought, not bad even bigger than BB’s one and sometimes hairs falling out of it, unfortunately bought it for a way much more than what it worst, these times we did not really have shops to buy brushes… Rarely I use if the BBs is just too dirty.img_2062 MAC-194 Dou Fibre Fan brush: I do not think it is still exists, but it is a really cool highlighter brush and sometimes I use it for blush or bronzer.img_2069 Real Techniques-Setting Brush: I am having serious circles under my eyes, so a good setting brush for powder to fix the concealer is really important….img_2070 EYES:

MAC-217: just the perfect blending brush, I should buy one more or a ZOEVA dupe… love it so so much.

img_2071 MAC- 266: Small Angeled brush for powder or gel liner or powder for eyebrows, a real multitasking brush.img_2072 Douglas- Eye brush: my oldest brush, bought it back highschool, real fur flat eye brush for powder eyeshadow.

Essence-Eyeshadow: the most cheapest brush I have, thicker than the previous one and synthetic, I only use it for paintpot.

Paris Berlin-10 and Ebelin-Liner: I tend to use gelliners, so these guys just for that reason.

LIP:

No name lip brush I think from DM or Rossmann but real fur, personally I do not really use it, but it is good if I want to use my lipsticks on someone else…small and handy.

Yes I should buy some new, comment below if you have suggestions!

with love,

M

My lipsticks

Hello everybody!

I am a big fan of lip focused make up, really like to leave my eyes natural and applying some mascara only and put some lip color on. Before you reading most of the products will be professional or high-end product, only a few of them liquid. I have collected from my bags together:)

Nudes:

Rimmel- Lasting Finish by Kate 03- Coral Nude: it is a matte, mauve pink with some brown, coral in it

L’Oréal- Color Riche J Lo’s Nude- sheer finish, so not long lasting, bit sparkling and really feminem nude

Bobbi Brown- Lip Color Sandwash Pink 22- that is my perfect nude, exactly my lip color, last 3-4 hours, pretty mauve pink nude

NYX- Lingerie Embellishment- was the perfect new nude color for me from 2017. It is not a real nude for me, but I love this solid  and extraordinary: purple/brown/pink nude

Pinks:

MAC- Angel: I was thinking whether is a nude or pink, but rather a baby pink on me. It is from Frost range, so slightly shimmery light pink.

Rimmel- The Only 1 Peachy- Beachy- Do not really use this color, because it is a very summer color and fits well on more sunkissed skin. It is having a really nice creme matte finish, color is a bright pink with peach.

Estée Lauder- Pure Color Coral Sun 69- it was my very first luxurious lipstick, still love that creamy peach/ coral pink, it is deeper than Peachy-Beachy so more wearable for me on summer time even at work.

Estée Lauder- Pure Color Envy Matte Uninhibited 409- one of the newest so luxy bright pink color

Bobbi Brown- Liquid Art Stick Lily- other bright pink, just bit lighter than Uninhibited and as it is a liquid semi matte lipstick the finish is totally different. Also a summer color for me.

MAC-All Fired Up- retro matte formula, so very dry and super long lasting bright pink (blue undertone) with a bit of red, that was my bridal lipstick so lovely on the pictures.

Read the story here

Reds:

Bobbi Brown- Luxe Lip Color Sunse Orange 29- it is an orange with a bit of red, beautiful bright color with creamy matte finish and long lasting

MAC- Ruby Woo- I do not think I have to describe this cult red color: retro matte with blue undertone

Bobbi Brown- Luxe Lip Color Parisienne Red 28- same really wearable formula as the other luxe lip, yellow undetoned red.

Essence-Velvet Matt 18- cherry red lipstick, matte but not as long wearing as BB or MAC

Too Faced- Melted Matte Lady Balls- Bright red matte liquid lipstick, deeper than Ruby Woo or Parisienne Red

Deep:

MAC- Fashion Revival- Matte formula aubergine color. AW color

Estée Lauder-Pure Color Love Rose Xcess 120- purple brown color, but not as aubergine as FR above and not as full intensive… (even it is seems very much the same on the swatches)

MAC- Sin- Classic Deep Brown Matte lipstick like my mom had in the 90s
