The Make up inventory of 2020

Hi lovelies,

I was written to update on my makeup for you in January. So my plan for the year in terms of make up:

One fresh beauty products per month! Rather try to use up and enjoy my current items and panning them, specially my eyeshadows.

Firstly let’s see my makeup box and count:

I would not say that I have an enormous collection of makeup like in the lot of the declutter videos on YouTube, but I still feel a bit overwhelming of them so I will try to desize my collection in 2020 and only add 12 new items and of course saving some money.

I own:

  • 12 lipsticks,
  • 7 eyeshadow palettes,
  • 4 highlighters,
  • 3 foundations,
  • 3 blushes,
  • 3 mascaras,
  • 3 bronzers,
  • 3 eyeliners,
  • 3 lipliners,
  • 3 concealers
  • 2 faceprimers,
  • 2 setting powders,
  • 2 lip oils,
  • 1 face palette,
  • 1 lash glue,
  • 1 fake lash,
  • 1 lightening drop,
  • 1 single eye pigment,
  • 1 eyeshadow primer,
  • 1 lipprimer

So in total of 60 items… so my goal is to downsize it to 40 by mainly using up the current items I have. Also my other aim it to finally reach the total cruelty free make up inventory  by the end of the year

iIMG_6729

2 items are missing: my Lanolip oil and a Becca undereye corrector- I think I left them at work …

I just have to do a bit of decluttering now too, which would be:

The E.l.f. Concealer, which is broken so it is a bit too dry now + the color is not a match for me (fair is too dark), my everyday Trend it up mascara is just too old to use, finally my friend came to pick up my old MAC products, which I was gifted for her (2 palettes and a lipstick). (55)

I am on the way to panning this month:

Bobbi Brown bronzer, Nars Orgasm blush, The Balm: Mary Louminizer and using up my Chanel setting powder, The Body Shop Tint Nude BB, Trend it up Lip Oil, Estee Lauder Coral an MAC mini Chili lipstick. Of course I try to use only one eyeshadow in this month, which is my Tarte Tartelette in Bloomson palette.

So I can only buy 12 pieces of make up, so what would be if I would just buy them now: (I try to be realistic as I would need some replacement during the year for sure)

  1. It Cosmetics CC (replacement)
  2. Urban Decay Perversion mascara in mini (replacement)
  3. RMS beauty: Eye Polish
  4. Lisa Eldridge: Velvet Ribbon lipstick
  5. Fenty Beauty: Gloss Bomb
  6. Fenty Beauty: Sun Starlk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer
  7. Too Faced: Better Than Sex Waterproof mini mascara
  8. Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette
  9. Lilah B.: Divine Duo- Lips and Cheeks
  10. Charlotte Tilbury brown eyeliner
  11. Charlotte Tilbury lip liner
  12. Hourglass: Veil Mineral Primer

OMG it is such a huge wishlist, however it can be changed throught out the year.

“How many money?” -2

Hi lovelies,

After the post yesterday, let’s continue counting with my beauty haJune vanity updateuls:

HAIR:

I do not have the most expensive purchases on a photo, but deffinetely the Olaplex and The Ordinary Argan Oil, used up 3 conditioners and ca. 4 sampoo with my hubby, so I can just estimate: 20 000 HUF (ca. 63 EUR)

That is why there is no point to count the body products…

FACE Care:

Again not all of them are on the pictures, but I do have a total: 42 224 HUF (ca. 130 EUR)

Make up:

maybe my most documented acts, so I can also mention who much I used up in a year and also, which I did not workedfor me:

Okay, the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow and the NYX Palette was gifted only. Total: 69 572 HUF (ca. 220 EUR) out of 10 000 HUF (ca. 32 EUR) used up, while 5,7 EUR was not for me at all (waste).

I hope you had enjoyed. How much you have spent this year? How much money you have wasted?

Luxury Christmas Gift ideas

Hi lovelies,

So Christmas is all arround let’s just into the gift ideas. If you have miss my wishlist read it first here.

Now I will list the most expensive ones, which I would say they all worst the money and investment in this season or they are timeless classics. There are only the things, which I would also invest in and keep or gift it to my family.

Céline sunglasses: my absolute favourite is Audrey, which is discontinued, but you can still buy them second hand, but also the new bit more sqaured models are amazing.

YSL Cardholder: normally I would not say to buy small luxury goods but if you are on a lower budget these look one of the best of any cardholders because of their pretty logo.

5

Lady Dior Bag: comes in 4 sizes, one of the most iconic bag, so I do not think I have to explain… of course you can buy it in vintage too.

Gucci Dionysus: there are many variation, probabaly the canvas is the most common but look it in green! Is not that stunning? (bit of  Versace style)

Burberry: The classis Check Cashmere scarf in Archive beige- very soft and unisex.

10

Burberry trench coat

11

Chanel Boy bag

Chanel pump or balerinas

Alexander McQueen Leather Show Sneaker: all upper class teenager’s dream shoe:

17

Omega Seamaster 1948 or Driver 300m watches were always a big dream to any gentlemen, of course you can choose from other Swiss Brands…

Acne Studios: Jensen Leather ankle boots- this Chelsea similar bootie is a must have

26

Tailoring and Handmade shoes: always a real luxury to be fitted. If you live in Russia than furs too.

Dyson hairdyer

Niche parfumes and beauty

May beauty situations

Hi lovelies,

We do have a rainy May, so spending a lot of time indoor and doing a lot of works in the hotel and also from home as the conference season is on.

So I was diagnized with seborrhea at the end of March, I always have dandruff in Winter, but never thought that much, so I got some cream and medicals and went to allergy test, which shown my intolarance od diary products. So I am not drinking or eating them for 6 weeks and I tend to say my skin also looks much better and having lack of seborrhea which is such great. So I try to find the best sampoo possible as the medical sampoos are just occasional use only. The Body Shop Banana shampoo is one of my favourite, but it has too much parfume in it. Nature Box contains a bit less of fagrance, but I am not sure is they are CF, so just has purchased an Inecto Argan Shampoo, which is vegan and cruelty free and has lack of parfum. So just hope that it is going to work.

Now I have to admit that even I am try to be cruelty free I am not vegan and do not want to be vegan even if we have days without meat, sometimes I love to eat meat, specially fishes and also I can not suggest restaurant without having an overview of their cuisine.

My recent empties:

Bobbi Brown Brow pencil and lipstick in Sandwash Pink are not CF, so will not repurchase them, I already have a dupe of the lipstick in a Charlotte Tilbury one. Tarte lifted mascara is a nice brown mascara, it is getting a way too dry and used it up duuring the last 6-7 months, I do not know whether I will repurchase it or not, because it gives a really nice look but nothing extra for the price.  The Ordinary serum foundation is changed into a very bad shape: oil seperated from the other parts, color changed, so I can not use it any more – it is openned for 9 months…

I have took back 6 products to MAC and choose a lipstick in Faux for one of my greatest friend’s birthday.

9741026-1-faux

Reflecting on recent purchases:

My top of top is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick I just love it, it is the perfect lipstick: nice color, easy to wear, matte but not dry and the rosegold package is not stunning. While the Pupa I’m Pupa matte lipstick also such a great shade, but it is a bit more on the drier side, but do not forget it is half priced to CT one. I have discovered two really great Trend it up products: Expert lip primer & care is a great due to MAC prep+ prime lip for the price of a tenth and also their lip oil is such a miracle.

img_5701

It cosmetics cc also a great product, however I have ordered light- medium based on the sephora.com foundation finder, it is a bit dark for me, so might be during the summer I can make a use of, but it is look great on the skin. The Body Shop Lightening touch concealer is a great dupe for YSL Touch Eclat, while E.l.f. gel liner is nice to replace Mac blacktrack liner.

I am unable to use the Lano Allover cream as my husband just adore and taking it everywhere;). I did not have the opportunity to try out the other lanolips products as I am still thinking to keeping both or giving one to my sister. Also The Ordinary Sunscreen is useless in this bad weather so…

E.l.f. Daily hydration moisturizer and Beauty Shield spray are nice products, but have not decided if them empty will I repurchase them or not.  I am not going to repurchase the Trend it up Eyeshadow Cream, it is nice on the top of other eyeshadows but not long wearing and not waterproof at all.

So I hope you enjoyed reading.

Spring is in the air

Hi lovelies,

It is finally April, which is the real Spring month: take the trench coat on and ride your bike! I was really frustrated using the public transportation so far from November to March I just get fed up with people standing in my aura:).

I just have changed a couples of warm clothes into lighter ones in my closet and next week just going to take back to H&M, I think I will use up the coupon for home stuff there. Yes, our flat is improving but we still have not have our built-in wardrobe at the hallway, which is an issue with the Carpenter since January, so I just really hope that he will manage to do it by the end of April. Finally the last pieces to our kitchen: fridge it’s on its way. In March we have sent like a 30 000 HUF (ca. 120 USD) on plants inside- some of my friends told we are two scary doing a botanical garden, but also the balcony project will be on this month!

Into my cruelty free journey: that was my last order from Feelunique: Yes a lots of E.l.f. products, but HD concealer was free in 3 for 2 promo and I also sent more than 18 GBP on the brand so got an HD powder too, which is so great to replace my NYX HD, which dries my skin.

And finally I purchased my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick, which I was wanted for ever since (maybe just for ages)… I think it is a nice alternative for Bobbi Brown Sandwashed Pink. The Body Shop stopped selling my beloved Argan oil, so I will try this The Ordinary one out.

Also Spring is the best time to visit Budapest :).

Travel size beauty

Hi lovelies,

It is time to write about travel size beauties, are they worst the money or not? Comment below what you think!

Recently I am in love with travelsizes, these are so great to try to experiment an expensive product. They are cuties, little and cost less. Of course people can say the value size and the original sizes more worst the price… it is true in certain cases, if you can use all the products up before its expire?

So what do I mean under the expiry of beauty stuffs? On the cans you can see the periode-after-opening symbol, which means for the opening for how long time you can use the products, like usually:

  • Liquid face products: (Foundations/ concealers, blush):12-18 months
  • Liquid eyes products (liner, mascara): 3-6 months
  • Lipsticks, lip gloss: 12-24 months
  • Powders (bronzer, blush, eyeshadow ect.): 18 -36 months

pao

So yeah, you might change your whole collections in every 3 years, because keeping old products can expose us to harmful toxins and cause serious health problems (specially the eyes). So you really have to protect and take care of them.

Shelf life is also important, usually the cosmetics can be stored for 3 years. So I would really suggest to check out all your cosmetics using the batch code, which is normal on the side or button of your products. Also it is great to check them at store (if you can).

So for me using up a full size of powder like blush or highlighter is nearly impossible, that is why I would rather buy their travel or mini size powder, might be more expensive per unit, but what is expensive means- if I can not use it up that is totally not worst the money. Like my heartbreaking by the very expensive Chanel powder is a one which I will never ever use up (30g) due to its size and being non CF is on sale now. Or products which you do not use that often, like blue eye liner mini size is enough. + they are also easier to travel with:).

While the skincare and cleanser products are totally the oposite, normal size like 250 – 400 ml are the best, for a face cream is the 50 ml (enough for a half year).

Just some of my recommendations on Travel Size products:

  • Hourglass: Ambient Lightning Blush, Bronzer and Powder; Veil PowderKéptalálat a következőre: „hourglass mini”
  • Urban Decay: Primer Portion
  • Tarte: Blushes
  • Becca: Highlighter
  • Too Faced: Better Than Sex Mascara Waterproof
  • Natasha Denona: Mini Eyeshadow palettesKéptalálat a következőre: „natasha denona mini”
  • Drunk Elephant: Minis
  • Képtalálat a következőre: „drunk elephant mini”

Decluttering my “childhood” room

Hi lovelies,

So it is a decluttering again, that was (is) probably the hardest when it is comes to your childhood/ teenager room… So I went home to my parents to do it.

My room

I am not using it for daily basis since 2009, so for 10 years going to be in September…OMG. It is a like an “all-girls” dream room, with white built-in wardrobe and shelfs, pink curtains, natural rugs and originally: light yellow wall – last year my mum choosed to paint it to mint green, which I hate.

IMG_5569

Declutter

I can not imagine from where I have these lots of stuffs… I have found a lot of good memory items, like letters with friends, journal etc. And also funny posters: Avril Lavigne, Back Street Boys or Maroon 5 and these get me back so so much of good moments and made so hard to decide. So I have just finished my nightstand, where my bags were and the wardrobe and also decluttered some beauty and perfumes from the shelves, so I ought to continue next time…

Most of the things when to the trash or recycling, but also to the Redcross charity and some of them are on sale now. If you wish to shop some of my clothes, take a look on my Depop!

Xoxo,

P.s.: my little helper will not be decluttered;)

Ultimate skin care update

Hi lovelies,

I just want to share my skincare routine update with you. I did some reseaches and read, test a lot ect. because skincare is more important than make up and it is time to start invest. in it.

I just have find this small skin care menu list at Byrdie‘s, which is quite good base to create the ultimate skin care routine. All of the products that I mention will be cruelty free as my previous one was included Bioderma which is not. I have read the suggestions of cultbeauty and skinsmart representatives too. There will be products, which I use for a long time, other are just new.

My Skin tend to be combination, but also sensitive and sometimes really dry. Yes, it will seems that I do use a lot of products, so not all of them are in my everyday routine.

Cleansing gel: Lixir- Electrogel Cleanser: honestly I only use cleansing gel in the evenings, I do not have time in the morning for these, so the electrogel is just for me, really smooth and smells nice and it is also a detoxifying mask. For morning fresh up and makeup removing I also use Micellar water, I loved the Bioderma pink one for so long, but then for CF reasons,I have started to use The Body Shop Camomile Fresh -Micellar Cleansing Water.

Toner: Pixi- Glow Tonic: I used to use a toner back to my teenager years, I was too lazy for ages maybe, for a month now just using the Glow Tonic, which has changed my skin so well- bright and glowing.

Lightweight moisturizer: Lixir- Universal Emulsion or The Body Shop- Vitamin E. The last one I just adore for so long time so lightweight and water based which I love, but too many perfume (even no irritation), but during winter time I feel I need some more, so just trying the first one, which works well so far.

Eye cream: I have not find my love yet, but I do have a lots of okay in this category… Currently using: Naturschön: Augencreme, which is a vegan, olive based cream. Really need to find on which is not is a jar, might be the Drunk Elephant? What do you think?

Zinc oxide sunscreen: honestly I am only using SPF in the BB cream, yes I have to find something…

AHA/BHA serum: Geek&Gorgeous Calm Down(PHA+ BHA liquid) is my big love, so I tend to repurchase it, but now I will give a try to my gifted Lixir: Night Switch PHA/AHA 10%

Retinol serum: The Ordinary: Granactive Retionoid 2% emulsion my first ever retinol, I am just thinking of starting it in my 20s must not hurt, so I will not use this light version everyday until my 30s… (2 nights per week)

uj_advanced

Serum: The Ordinary: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% really good serum for oily- oily combined skin, even it is written use it both in morning and evening, I only use it at night if I skipp the retinol.

zb_p

Clay mask: The Body Shop- Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is my other old friend, even thought I use rarely use it… and sometimes I do use sheet mask, like the Holika Holika: Juicy Mask Sheet for some extra hydration.

tbshimalaya

Face oil: I am not really into it, as I was always afraid of these products makes my skin oily, so I only have a small The Body Shop: Tea Tree Oil and a L’Occitane: Face Comforting Oil (Not CF so I will need a change), might be for a nice night oil.

I hope you have enjoyed this short post. I am highly interested in you advise, so please comment below.

Xoxo,

Getting cruelty free- makeup issue part 1

Hi lovelies,

Let’s continue crueltyfreeserie the with the most interesting part, my makeup bag! I have tried to find so alternatives of the products that I really like, but so make of them are not cruelty free, so I had to make some research. Firstly I am going to start with my drug store section, all these are cheaper and easier to restore. With my high end ones, I try to sell or give away or just replace with cruelty free ones, when they are out.

My current cruelty free products.

These all are not!

Eyeliners: I am having 4 to restore:

  • Yves Rocher: 12- Bleu Agave and 09- Blue Paradis- they are so creamy and not so long lasting, even thought they are pencils I used them a lot like a liner. Yves Rocher sells there product in China, so replacement goes to Stila- Intense Sapphire (Bleu Paradis), which is out from China since 2016.
  • Artdeco Kajal Liner 02- simple black liner, honestly it was not a big love as it is not so soft and neither well pigmented…
  • L’Oréal: liner, I love this go to liner now I have bought a new one from NYX

Lipsticks:

  • Rimmel- Kate 03: it is a pinkish browy nude shade, this color is nice, but it is not so long lasting and I am just simply hate how it smells, that is why I do not use it a lot. People consider it as a MAC: Velvet Teddy dupe
  • Rimmel- The only 1: Peachy Beachy: the perfect peach color but not way too creamy and after a half hour it is disappears or on my teeth…
  • Maybelline- Shine Pink Shock: okay I am not a lipgloss fan, this is having a nice shine and not sticky, so might need to replace it later.

Nails:

In Generally I tend to say I am not a big nailpolish fan, I was so suprised how much I have, but mostly they are so old… so I have take all my Maybelline, L’Oréal, Bourjois, Oriflame, Yves Rocher and Sally Hansen products to the trash without any heartbreaking moment. Kiko, BeYu, Pupa, Catrice and Crystal Nails left in my collection If they not dried out…

+ Mascara: I have ordered my favourite Too Faced one to replace my L’Oreal Lash Paradise;)

+ Bobbi Brown: Stick Foundation will be finished soon and not going to repurchase it.

Of course those which are still good will goes to a local girls home as a charity.

Xoxo,

July hauls

Hi lovelies,

I have not written for a long time due to our future flat, read the story My announcement and keep waiting for my updates soon.

So July passed by a lots of work and only 4 days of from the reality of Budapest. I have already posted about my bikinis so read it Here.

Beside my bikini purchase I have been at The Body Shop to purchase some gifts for my sister and bbf’s- I have forgotten to take the pictures on these, for myself I have finally bought the Body Yoghurt, for a lighter summer version instead of the Body Butter. I have chosen the one with Almond Milk, as Generally hating the Body lotions with so strong perfume (smell). I tend to say love it: cooling, lightweight, so might will purchase the British Rose one as well. I just took two mini mask, but only tried the honey mask after the neem mask, to minimize the dry out of the dry parts of my face. It is not bad, but not the one which I would purchase in the full version, which is really pricy.

All the other are from Mueller, which a drogerie and perfumery in Hungary. It is a really huge store from cheap to high-end cosmetics. I rarely go there as they are a big expensive, and too many people have the access to the more expensive products, which they often open and use instead of the testers…. but it is the place for Real Techniques. They did not have the sponge and the brush, but the brush cleaner yes. Here is it more expensive than MAC ahh… more like a liquid soap type, so might need a bit less, cleans effectively, but come on it is RT only.

And guess what Shiseido was on 50% sale, so that was the deal to must not skip ;). unthought it was really hard to find something due to the above mentioned problem. So I have purchased the Perfect Foundation Brush: love its size and the small kabuki shape so easy to apply all type of foundations. Full Lash Mascara in brown- I always have a brown mascara for natural makeup days. It is not a bad mascara, but differently do not worst the price, on this L’Oréal price tag is was ok to buy. Biobonza was a sample;).

What were your July purchases?

Xoxo,

P.S.: Hungarians are adore the creamy cold fruit soups, which you can do easily: cook the fruits (apricot, plum, peach or mixed) a bit with cinnamon and clove then take it to a turmix with vanillin aroma or sugar, but back to the hot plate and mix it with some milk (I always use almond/soy or rice) and leave it is the fridge. For strawberry use mint only at the first step. Instead of milk you can serve it with ice cream.

My plum soup:
